Subject: Critical Point in Today's World

"Ka'che na'hi a'so kabhu, e ki toma'r bha'laba'sa'..." (PS 486)

Purport:

Baba, You are my dearest One. You have deeply linked Yourself with my
whole existence. By Your grace my each and every thought & movement is
centering around You. Baba, You are the focal point of my life. You are
my Goal. Baba, I love You so much. Even then You never come close to me.
You are always keeping Yourself far away and distant. Baba, what type of
love is this of Yours. I have so much heart-felt feeling for You, yet
You are not regularly manifesting Yourself to me. You are not even
occasionally visiting me.
Baba, by Your grace Your divine image immediately appears in my mind
whenever I come in contact with the sweet smell of flowers. When that
flower fragrance permeates the air I always feel Your presence. In that
blissful moment, I always think of You. It is Your grace. Baba, whenever
I feel happy, then suddenly You advent and shower Yourself in my mind
and heart. Baba, by Your grace in that instance You always come close.
Baba, You are the warmth of my heart-- the vitality of my being. Baba,
all the hopes and aspirations of my life are revolving around You.
Baba, when I am not getting You in the deep core of my heart, then I
feel totally lost and restless. In that desperate situation, I just cry
& cry-- weeping bitterly for hours on end. Baba, all my desires and
longings depend exclusively on You.   Baba, You are so gracious; You are
my closest One. By Your grace You have filled my life and my whole
existence with Your divine effulgence & love. Baba, You are my
everything. Baba, I have only one longing: To be in Your close
proximity. Please be gracious...

          == CRITICAL POINT IN TODAY'S WORLD ==

Namaskar,
As the global issues emerge in more serious ways, as technology
speeds up life, as so many things come to a head in this transitional
period, we have to be aware of Baba's guidelines for keeping mental balance.

                  GAINING SUCCESS IN LIFE

In this world we have so many duties and responsibilities, so many
things to do. Especially being Ananda Margiis our works are countless--
endless, or so it seems. Society needs help in all the directions, in
all the realms, and by Baba's grace He has given us the pathway how to
proceed. So there is much to be done.

But one thing for us all to remember is Baba's timeless teaching that to
successfully do anything in this life it demands having a free mind-- a
balanced mind. That is, the mind should be free from all complexes.

Baba says, "To attain complete success in life, the fourth principle is
samata'bha'va, that is, mental equipoise, mental balance. There must not
be any complex in the mind -- neither superiority complex nor
inferiority complex." (Ananda Vacanamrtam, part 30)

                  COMPLEXES ARE A PSYCHIC DISEASE

MENTAL EQUIPOISE IS A GREAT QUALITY

Here Baba further points out the negative nature of complexes and He
simultaneously directs us to keep samata'bha'va, mental balance.

Baba says, "Complex of any sort - superiority or inferiority - is a
psychic malady, a mental disease. You must maintain a psychic balance."
(Kolkata Dec 2 '79)

Thus mental balance is one central target in life. We should aim for
this in all circumstances. And once we have it, & by His grace can keep
it, then that is one of the best attributes a human being can have.

Baba says, "Maintaining a balanced mind is one of the greatest virtues.
There are no complexes in a balanced mind. One neither feels inferior
nor superior to others; one never fears anybody nor ever gets perturbed.
One maintains a mental balance." (AV-5)

So by striving for and achieving mental balance, then so many other plus
points come along with it. Then the mind will be complex-free, enabling
us to generate positive relations with one and all. Because when we do
not feel that we are better or worse than the next person, then it
becomes easy to establish a heart-felt connection. So that is one
distinct benefit.

In addition, Baba tell us that when one is in a state of samata'bha'va,
they will neither be fearful nor full of anxiety. They will remain in a
natural state of ease and contentment-- not burdened by any negative
tendencies of the mind.

All these positive outcomes are a tremendous boon for human existence.

                        LEADING A LIFE OF SEVA

Without question, one of the top-most results of having a balanced mind
is that then one will be able to maximally help and serve others.
Because when we can feel their joys and sorrows and understand their
problems then we can also present them with the solutions. In that case,
by Baba's grace, they can progress.

So with a balanced mind-- with samata'bha'va-- we can best lead a life
of seva, i.e. helping one and all to advance. And that is the dharma of
human beings: To make one's own self great and make others great also--
"...to lead others along the path of righteousness".

                        WHEN SAMATA'BHA'VA IS LOST

In contrast when due to lack of sadhana we are unable to attain a state
of equipoise or if we lose that stance of mental balance, then that
invites numerous problems for oneself and for others also.

In that case we are unable to weigh the pros and cons of life and end up
making poor decisions-- lowering our own position and misleading others
as well.

For example suppose Ram or Shyam prematurely forms an opinion about
others, a conclusion which is totally wrong or off-base. Then that
invariably leads to problems and harms others. In that case, in the
future nobody will want to listen to Ram or Shyam's words. Then that Ram
or Shyam will lose all their social prestige and respect. All these
pitfalls come from lack of mental balance.

That is why-- among other things-- Baba warns to stay balanced and not
proceed hastily.

Baba says, "Do not judge anyone to be good or bad hastily, nor express your
opinion." (CC-2, 'Society' chapter, pt #41)

As we can feel, Baba's specific guideline is that with a cool mind-- a
balanced mind-- we should view all the things in life, otherwise
countless problems will crop up.

                           BABA'S FINAL WORD

Considering all the angles, by Baba's grace it is clear that
samata'bha'va is one key point for human existence because with a
balanced mind we can help ourselves and help others. And that is the
greatest utilisation of this human life.
Hence as long as we are alive this should be our approach. Here
following is Baba's dharmic mandate.

Baba says, "You should remain in this world and do your duty with a
balanced mind." (SS-21, 'Jaeva Dharma & Bhagavata Dharma')

By Baba's grace may we all get success in this grand endeavour.

Namaskar,
Mahesh

Note 1:          HOW TO OVERCOME SUPERIORITY COMPLEX

Here Baba supplies us with the special formula for keeping mental
balance and not succumbing to any type of superiority complex.

Baba says, "People must always bear in mind that 'Whatever I have
acquired is all by the grace of Parama Purus'a. If He decides that I
should not possess wealth [or any other quality etc], He will take it
away at any moment He wishes.' So no one should feel pride about
anything under any circumstances." (AV-16)

By seeing everything as Baba's fathomless grace then we will not get
puffed up with vanity and instead will be able to maintain mental
balance at all times.

Note 2:          HOW TO OVERCOME INFERIORITY COMPLEX

In His below teaching Baba teaches us how to keep mental balance and not
fall into the depths of an inferiority complex.

Baba says, "What about the inferiority complex, that makes you think of
yourself as inferior to others? You must have noticed that the minds of
those who are less educated become a bit diffident: 'We don't have much
learning.' Again, those who are poor suffer from a similar diffidence.
'We are so poor, and have no one to turn to.' But what causes such
diffidence? [They forget that] everyone on this earth is a child of
Parama Purus'a; no one is big or small. All are related as brothers and
sisters.' (DKG)

By remembering we are all the beautiful expressions of that Divine
Entity Parama Purusa, then no inferiority complex can creep into the
mind. Then we will keep our mental balance.

Note 3:         BABA'S STERN WARNING FOR ALL SADHAKAS

Baba says, "When samata'bha'va is lost, then one begins feeling that
there is a group of people far inferior to oneself. Such a pattern is to
be observed in the case of people who have come to the city from the
village. They say that they don't feel like returning to the village, as
the villagers are illiterate and under-developed. This feeling is very
dangerous. And if such feelings creep into the mind as a result of
having acquired a little intellectual knowledge, the chances of
developing this complex are much greater in the realm of spirituality,
when a sa'dhaka begins feeling somewhat elevated with the development of
some occult powers and the feeling of a little bliss. In the second
stage of spiritual practice every sa'dhaka faces this test. One must be
very, very cautious, so that vanity may not develop." ('Dialogue of
Shiva and Parvatii- 3')

Note 4:       BALANCED MIND NEEDED TO TEACH AND TO LEARN

Baba says, "The third fundamental of education is that teachers and
students should have a balanced mind." (PNS-18, 'Talks On Education')

In His above teaching Baba guides us that mental balance is needed in
order to both guide and learn from others.

Note 5:          A SPECIAL TIP FOR KEEPING A BALANCED MIND

Baba says, "In order to have a balanced mind and to progress
spiritually, human beings will have to pay attention to the qualities of
the food they eat. The idea that 'I will just do my sa'dhana' and eat
any food, proper or improper' will not do." (YP)

Note 6:                      BABA'S BLESSING

Baba says, "Your duty is to utilise totally and properly this physical
body and mind. By thinking always of Him and talking of Him psychic
elevation takes place. Go on moving towards Him. In Him alone lies Your
individual good and social good. You have come with human body, human
intellect. Your human life will become fruitful. By His grace you have a
human body and human mind and you should also bear in mind that by His
grace alone you have to move ahead in life. By His grace alone He is to
be attained. You will attain Him -- certainly you will attain Him." (AV-22)

             ***************************************************
                                 Brave Persons

Baba says, "Do not remain worried about your individual problems at all.
Be prepared to carry your own burden and be prepared also to carry the
burdens f others. Then alone are you brave. Be dagdhabiija. Everyone has
their own individual problems. Do not try to pass them on to others. On
the contrary, bear the burdens of others. No one is your enemy. Be ready
to bear the burdens of others." (AV-30, p.4)

== BABA STORY: CREATION OF WT / PP ==

Namaskar,
This following real incident that was exposed by Baba in reporting neatly parallels the present day scenario of creating a new PP on Mar 25, 26, 27.

                                STORY: DECEPTIVE PLOY FOR POWER
In the 80's when there was intense pressure to create Wts, one avadhuta came up with a special ploy. In those days, workers would get higher posts and all kinds of rewards for creating a new Wt. To satisfy his selfish agenda of getting a higher post, here is what that one worker / avadhuta did.

This Wt convinced one margii to become a fake WT. The plan was for this margii to (a) go to training centre, (b) live there for a few months, (c) become an acarya, and (d) graduate from TC and get posted in the field. All along that margii was to maintain strict secrecy. The Wt furthermore told that, "Once you get a posting our agreement is over and you may do as you wish. Since I am requesting you to do all this, I will pay you double your normal salary while you carry out my plan."

The plan proceeded accordingly and by this way the avadhuta got the credit for creating a new Wt and the margii got trained and posted as an acarya and then left his acaryaship to resume his prior margii life.

Shortly thereafter, the avadhuta who arranged this came for reporting. Then in front of one and all Baba exposed this worker. The Wt got a serious beating and lost everything he had gained, i.e. his post and prestige was now all gone. Indeed Baba exposed the whole story.

A similar event is happening now with those who are trying to make Kinshuk into the new PP. Just see.

In the aforementioned incident, one avadhuta contracted and paid a margii to act as a Wt temporarily, so that he (the avadhuta) could gain more power. Of course we all know that being a Wt is a lifelong commitment; it is a permanent position. But that avadhuta coaxed the margii to do it temporarily for his own personal gain.

The situation going on now of making Kinshuk into PP is 100% the same. It is perfectly analogous to the above story.

Baba Himself has designated the PP post as a permanent, lifelong position. Yet now the position of PP has been reduced to a mere few months as certain groupists prepare to place Kinshuk in the chair so that they (B group) can grab the power. Of course Kinshukji is a family man with many personal responsibilities, so B group has promised to compensate Kindshuk handsomely for obliging them. In this way Kinshuk is going to become PP, then B group will reap the rewards, and soon after Kinshuk will leave the post and return to his normal family matters and business pursuits. Such is the scheme B group has devised. Hence theirs is a mirror image of the above noted incident with the avadhuta who turned one margii into a "Wt" for his own personal gain.

The only difference between then and now is that earlier Baba was there to whip that deceitful avadhuta and expose him to the bone and whereas today one has to to use their vivek to see through the smokescreen.

We must not compromise our standard. We must safeguard Baba's teachings and maintain the integrity of the PP post.

                                    MUST ADHERE TO BABA'S GUIDELINES

We are human beings; our minds are limited and we do not know everything. On all fronts though we saw that Baba is Almighty. He has perfect knowledge.

Those who know this very fact and all sane human beings will never try to use their brain to find fault in Baba's rules and regulations, nor will they try to change Baba's mandates. Those who do try to change Baba's teachings are not proper disciples. Our duty is to try to understand, follow, and execute Baba's guidelines in the right way and get the proper result - including with the creation of a new PP.

                                         DEFECTIVE MENTALITY

Those searching for a flaw(s) in Baba's teachings suffer from a defective mentality. With that silly mindset, they will see "flaws" or "weaknesses" in Baba's every teaching. Such persons will be prone to change all our AM guidelines - including the duration of PP's tenure. They do such things not because the philosophy is faulty but because of their own stupidity and ignorance.

Baba has designated the tenure of PP to be lifelong; it is a permanent position. Baba's teaching about this in Caryacarya is ideal; We should not compromise. Those who do so suffer from a defective mentality.

                                 MANY BENEFITS OF LIFELONG POSTING

There are many, many benefits to following Baba's guidelines and having the post of Purodha Pramukha as a lifelong position.

1. When the post of PP is permanent then the Purodha Pramukha does not have to worry about losing his post and he can focus fully on his work and make tough decisions. That means the PP can strictly adhere to AM mandates without concern that fickle-minded people will try and oust him. By this way dharma will be maintained.

2. When the PP post is lifelong then it will not be politicized in that one will not have to campaign to keep their post, nor will the PP be prone to or become a victim of public pressure. Whereas if the post of PP is for the short-term, then when the PP leaves the position he may face backlash and victimisation.

3. And of course, despite all logic, after all, this is Baba's given system that the post of PP is lifelong. So we should follow Guru's mandate whether we understand it or not. We are merely mortal human beings prone to error and we should not change the rules and regulations of Parama Purusa. This point alone is enough for any proper Ananda Margii to understand that the post of PP must be lifelong.

4. In every religion, the top postholders have lifelong tenure. By this way their designated rituals and traditions are carried from generation to generation. Then mullahs, rabbis, or priests can hold strong to their religious mandates without fear of repercussion from the masses. Because of this lifelong tenure, the Catholic church has carried on with their old dogmas from one century to the next. Of course in Ananda Marga there is no dogma so all those dharmic teachings will be kept in tact by keeping PP post as a permanent position.

5. Here the point is that we will be unable to maintain the sanctity of our darshan (philosophical) and shruti (spiritual) shastras if we keep changing the PP. With a lifelong tenure, the Purodha Pramukha need not be sidelined by any other worldly matters like job security or winning popularity contests. Only the PP will adhere to Baba's tenets. As was noted in the previous point, the religions use this system of lifelong appointments and they have kept their scriptures and rituals in tact.

6. Everything in AM needs a lifelong commitment. In the public or private sectors people do their jobs for a short time. But in AM most everything is permanent. Becoming a wholetimer is a lifelong commitment; one must immerse oneself in that flow. It is a lifelong decision. Plus anyone who becomes a margii must make permanent lifestyle changes. Our Marga is not a political party; it is a way of life. By this way people are highly dedicated and get truly transformed. Having PP be a permanent position is wholly consistent with our AM ideals.

7. Top of all Baba is Parama Purusa and with His infinite wisdom and knowledge He Himself decided that the post of Purodha Parmukha will be lifelong. This is enough proof for any devotee to realise that this is best for our AM society. So we should follow Baba. He is the Sadguru and we are just His disciples.

MORE ABOUT WHY PP MUST BE A PERMANENT POST

Regarding the post of Purodha Pramukha, Baba's given system is permanent. PP should be, nay must be, a strong and dharmic personality. If the post is not secure, then the PP position itself will be weak. In that case he will just be overpowered by group sentiment and public opinion. The post of PP must be above that.

Some naive people may worry that if the PP post is lifelong then that PP may do wrong. But this is a silly idea as the Purodha Board has full authority to overrule PP should the need arise. The only reason so many wrongs were committed under thew watch of PP Shraddhananda is that the purodhas those days selected Shraddhananda with the idea of manipulating him. Indeed Sarvatmananda did that just after 1990 and thereafter it was Rudrananda who dominated PP Shraddhananda. In both instances that outcome was not good and more about this is written down below. Here again, the point is that when purodhas have a proper vision in mind then their selected PP will be dharmic, not a stooge. Then the lifelong appointment of PP will bear much fruit and one need not worry of PP doing wrong etc.

In the US, the high judges / justices are given lifetime appointments and they do not do reckless things. Rather, with that job security they are able to focus on the law and not concern themselves with public opinoin. So just because a post is a lifelong appointment does not mean it will be misused. The right person will hold the post honourably and do proper work.

PP can retire due to health concerns, but margiis / acaryas cannot force him to retire. When the post is subject to margii protest then that is not a religious organisation but rather a political one.

When AM philosophy is so rational then the darshan shastra and dharma shastra / shruti shaastra will never be changed. The post and power allotted to PP is all based on scriptures given by Baba. In that case margii protest is not the deciding factor.

                                         THE SHRADDHANANDA FACTOR

Some may look back on the years of this post 1990 era and wrongly conclude that PP Shraddhanandaji was the cause and we should avoid (again) having PP as a lifelong post. But in truth all those wrongdoings were not the fault of Shraddhananda. The blame goes to those groupists who made him PP. Such so-called purodhas effectively placed that post in Shraddhanandaji's hands because they knew he could not do the job and therefore they would hold the power. They knew he would be the perfect spineless stooge and they could have their way. That was the way Sarvatmananda was thinking and that later on that was Rudrananda's outlook as well. Use the PP Dada as a pawn to grab the power.

And indeed that is exactly what happened. Just after assigning Shraddhananda as PP then those same purodhas instantly started changing Baba's divine guidelines in Caryacarya and tearing down all His given systems like the Bhukti Pradhan & ACB systems and curtailing margii rights. Plus so many other heinous crimes they committed.

So here the whole point is that those purodhas were not trying to select a proper PP back in 1990. Rather they sought a spineless person whom they could control and manipulate and with whom they could put forth their agenda. For this reason Shraddhananda was made PP.

Unfortunately a similar event is happening right now with the selection of Kinshuk as PP. In order to further their groupist agenda they selected Kinshuk as that would dupe margiis into believing that a new era had begun and family people would be respected and given a voice; when in reality their agenda is to bring people into their camp and rule the roost. That is what B group wants in this present situation.

Hence, whenever the purodhas are not proper then they will select the wrong person as PP. Thus it is not PP's fault, nor is it the fault of Baba's system. All blame goes to those selfish purodhas.

When the purodhas are proper then the right PP will be selected and that will be of great value to our entire AM family. That PP - with his lifelong tenure - will do all kinds of great works.

                                       BABA'S SYSTEM IS PERFECT

Baba is Parama Purusa and His system of making PP a lifelong position is perfect; it does not have a flaw. The flaw is in using that system. It is just like if a car is very good but if a person puts liquid cow dung in the gas tank and not petrol, then if the car does not function it is not the car's fault but the user's fault. Here the central idea is that thinking to change Baba's system is not a good idea just because up till now the chair of PP has been misused.

Likewise, if a cat urinated on PP's chair that does not mean that PP cannot sit on a chair ever again and he should sit on the floor forever. Just because up till now the person in the post of PP has not been proper does not mean that we should abandon Baba's system.

Consider this: Baba is telling that democracy is foolocracy and our system should selecto-electoral. That then is the proper system. According to our view, all should not have the right to vote; that is our AM policy. But in the current political arena, this is an abhorrent idea in the present day society. They will oppose our system, but as we know the truth is that most of the public are fools and therefore they should not get the right to vote. In all ways Baba's system is proper - regardless what others think.

Baba's system is the the post of PP is lifelong and that is what we should follow. Any hint of problem starts with having undeserving purodhas like Sarvatmananda and Rudrananda etc. Changing Baba's system and keeping corrupt purodhas will not solve anything. That will just multiply the problems.

Baba has given both the political system (Prout) and the AMPS organisational system. In both cases, the power is centralised, not decentralised. With that power, a dharmika can quickly lead the society forward. That is why PP post should not be weak and subjected to being a temporary position. That will compromise the post of PP. A weak leader (powerless) cannot do anything.

Namaskar,
Yogendra

"Tumi ele, a'lo a'nale, a'ndha'r du're sare gelo..." P.S. #1036

Purport:

Baba, You have come and brought a showering of grace and divine effulgence along with You. By Your auspicious advent the thick fog of cimmerian darkness has been vanquished. And all the fear which I had has vanished in a flash-- by Your grace.
Baba, You are so magnificent. With Your soft, sweet smile You have told me, 'Look towards Me and remember that I am the Fear of fear. By taking My name and ideating on Me, then fear itself gets terrified'.   Baba, You also have said to me, 'By taking proper ideation look towards Me.'
O' my Dearmost Baba, You have also lovingly told me:
'You must not forget that in this cosmic play the divine rule is not that there is only effulgence and no darkness. Or that there are only rose flowers and no thorns; or only high tidal waves of bliss and no stretches of sadness. This Divine play has both qualities, side by side-- darkness and light.'
'You should also always remember this divine truth: That I (BABA) am always along with you, all the time, in pleasure and pain. I love you-- you are mine and I am yours. Remove and throw away all the loneliness and inferiority complexes from your mind. I am ever-gracious on you.'
Baba, You Yourself have blessed me like this. Baba You have come and  showered Your causeless grace on me...

"Bha'lo ba'siyachi, toma're ceyechi a'ma'r maner mainjus'a'y..."   (P.S. 3185)

Purport:

Baba, You are my most close; You are my dear most. I deeply love You
with all my heart. I always yearn for You in my mental abode. Baba, I want
Your closeness.    Why are You remaining distant-- & not coming close by my side.
You are not understanding the pain of my heart nor my hope to always have You.
At a distance You go on smiling sweetly with Your charming smile. Why do
You do like this. By this way You pull my heart; my heart gets taken away.

Baba, all the sweetness of this universe is filled with Your nectar. But
You are hiding Yourself within Your divine liila of darkness and
effulgence. To understand You, to realise You is very difficult. Only by
Your grace can one understand You.

Age after age, so many yogis have been ensconced in Your shravan, manan,
niddhidhyasana, japa, kiirtan, and dhyan, but without Your divine grace
nobody can realise You.

In each and every atom, proton, electron, and neutron as well as in the
stars, galaxies, and nebulae-- all are singing Your glory, greatness, and
magnanimity. They are spreading the love of Your causeless grace.

Baba, I always long for You; I want Your proximity in the abode of my
mind & heart. I want to have You. Baba, You are my nearmost & dearmost...

                   BABA'S TEACHINGS HAVE BEEN TIMELESS

                        SINCE THE VERY BEGINNING

Namaskar,
Every margii knows that Baba's discourses are eternal truth-- apta vakya.

Baba says, "A'pta vakya or absolute knowledge is true and beneficial for
all people is all ages and in all countries...The books in Ananda Marga
philosophy are all absolute knowledge." (PNS-18, chap 3)

But some jinanis in their confused state of mind think that Baba's ideas
and discourses are not eternal-- That He modifies things from one moment to
the next. Means such jinanis think in their dogmatic way that Baba's
discourses are not apta vakya, i.e. that His discourses become old in the
due course. Or they think that sometimes Baba changed His discourses by
giving new updates etc just as  mundane, ordinary philosophers do in their
writings. These types of dogmas various jinanis have in their mind.
This following letter is the reply to such delirium that certain jinanis
have.

                EVERYTHING PRE-PLANNED AND PERFECT

All are aware that Baba's everything is pre-planned. The entire body of Ananda
Marga philosophy, irrespective of when & what time Baba delivered the speech,
is all part of His eternal guideline.

And all the ideas that Baba propagated, all those various things He started
giving from the very beginning--  in seed form.

For example, those not aware may say that Microvita philosophy was
introduced in December of 1986, but it is not like that. Because in very
beginning, in the 1950's even, in old discourses Baba refers to the 7 types
of microvita devayonis.

And this next point is moving in the same direction.

                 NEO-HUMANISM PRE-DATES 1982

Since the time Ananda Marga started, since then the theory of neo-humanism
has been propagated. No doubt the name was not neo-humanism at that time,
but the whole philosophy was embedded within those early discourses. So no
one can claim that neo-humanism got started for the first time in 1982. It
is not like that.

Then there is also this example. In Patna, 1980 January, Baba has given the
discourse 'liberation of intellect', i.e. 'Buddhi ki mukti'. But in
official terms, everybody is aware that the neo-humanism theory was first
given in 1982. When in fact the seed form teachings were given decades
earlier and the initial elaboration of His of neo-humanism philosophy was
given in 1980. But never was there any change to any of the ideas of
neo-humanism.

In all these above cases it is just like one baby was born and then 6
months or one year later then the baby naming ceremony happened. But that
does not mean that prior to the naming ceremony then the baby did not exist.

                 PRABHAT SAMGIITA GIVEN LONG BACK

Indeed countless examples can be given on this very point. It is related
with all of Baba's philosophical teachings-- the entire gamut of what He
has given. Take the case of Prabhat Samgiita. Actually since His very
childhood He started giving Prabhat Samgiita-- just that time the name was
different. But then after the name Prabhat Samgiita was given decades
later, then Baba included those songs which He wrote in His childhood into
His collection of Prabhat Samgiita.

                   HOW COMMON THE SOCIETY OPERATES

In contrast, many people do things in a mundane, calculated manner: today
they propagate some theory and then tomorrow they see some defect in their
earlier concepts and they will attempt to revamp their initial defective
theory.

But in the case of Baba, His teachings are divine- eternal truth, Apta
vakya. So His teachings are not affected by the change in time, space, and
person.

                         NO UPDATES EVER NEEDED

That is why Baba never needed to update His philosophy. All the things that
He started in 1955, that very same perfect philosophy He propagated up till
1990. He just gave more and more discourses to illustrate those initial
points which were in seed form. There was no need for Baba to update
anything because all His teachings are based on eternal truth.

So those jinanis who dogmatically think that Baba updated or changed His
philosophy, they are wrong. They need to study more carefully then they
will reach the conclusion that since the very beginning, everything is the
same type of ideas. Gradually He explained more and more in His various
discourses and for that He has given new and new names and titles. But the
ideas are the same.

                         THE CASE WITH KIIRTAN

In opposite fashion, Islam has its own way limited dogmatic ways of
operating. Such that devotional songs and kiirtan etc are not allowed. So
if they introduce something like that, then it will be said that they
updated their philosophy.

But in our AM since the beginning, kiirtan, bhajan, dances, and devotional
chanting were approved, allowed, & encouraged. So margiis were writing and
chanting bhajans in their own way and they were singing and dancing in
their own style-- haphazard way. Then in due course, Baba graciously gave
one methodical way of doing kiirtan. Likewise later on paincajanya was also
introduced. So before the introduction of paincajanya in 1982 or the
introduction of kiirtan in 1970, these things were present in seed form
since the beginning.

Here is another key point.

                              SHRIINATHE...

Since 1955 the point of Ista was very significant. If you see the Subhasita
Samgraha discourses, there is the story of the mythological monkey devotee
Hanuman. And  Baba illustrated this so many times and He introduced the
shloka: 'Shriinathe...'. And this very teaching is the main guiding shloka
related with pointed devotion to Ista. And this very teaching Baba has
given in various discourses since the very beginning. And directly &
indirectly He raised this point again and again until finally in 1970
Sixteen points was made and one of the points was--strictness in Ista.

Typically, until they are confronted by a problem, human beings do not like
to think and understand about the importance of Guru's teachings on that
particular topic. It is only when some serious negative things happen that
people realise that this thing should be taken care.

Just like Baba used to guide about the strictness of Ista point since the
beginning because many margiis who took initiation in their old age
did not like to give up their old allegiance to different gods and
goddesses. They did not take the point of strictness in Ista seriously.

On the side they were doing sadhana and ideating on Guru and other side they were
doing idol worship, taking bath in river Ganges, going to temples, doing
their marriages in their caste, and following rituals of Hindu religions.

Since the very beginning, Baba was teaching about strictness in Ista, one
pointed devotion. But many were lax in this regard.

In the past people were addressing Baba as Lord Vishnu, or Lord Rama, Lord
Krishna, Lord Shiva. The way they were ideating on different gods and
goddesses when they came in contact with Baba they saw that very form in
Baba. Because they have deep devotion in those deities and gradually that
very devotion channelised towards Baba. The main reason for this problem
was that they took initiation in their late age that time. And this same
thing happens these days when people take initiation in their late age.

What worships or rituals they do they do not like to give up. Sadhana and
other dogmatic rituals go side by side. 5 minute of idol worship of goddess
Durga and 5 minute sadhana; 5-10 Hanuman chalisa to please monkey god; and
5 minutes kiirtan. This type of pseudo-half-baked or immature margiis you
will find everywhere.

But the main problem came in 1970 was when a huge number of fake Wts became
defectors and they stated doing a lobby against Baba. Then people
understood the importance and significance of this point- strictness in
Ista. And that was the opportune time to introduce this point in 16 points
and that is what Baba did.

So it was that when a problem arose that people understood the great
necessity of Baba's divine teaching: Strictness in Ista.

WHEN THE SITUATION CALLS, PEOPLE LEARN

The conclusion is that Baba used to teach these points since long back and
when the dire need arose then everyone understood that, 'Yes this is
needed'. Otherwise not.

It is same thing like one may leave one's door open every day but if one
day thief comes and takes costly things then people will be alert to close
the door. Without that, talking about alertness has no use in their mind.
Here in India you see that without one time getting pickpocketed people
cannot become alert about pickpockets.  So Baba's whole philosophy in seed
form was there since 1955, but gradually situation came and rule was
implemented.

THE MARGA IS SAME FROM THE BEGINNING

Baba never modified his philosophy, from the beginning it was same. He
never modified or upgraded. Here is another example: male acaryas should
not initiate any females and vice versa. That was created in 1970, but this
rule was since the beginning. Because in CC part 1 Baba has given the rule
that relations between males and females should be in a very reserved way.
And as long as they will not unnecessary gossip their dealings will be
respectful.

So prior to 1970's WTs were initiating females no problem. If strict in CC
rules (giving females motherly status) but in 1970, some degenerated WTs
started doing all kinds of nonsense things with opposite sex. And that also
with their diiksa bhaganiis. So then there was no other way than to
introduce the rule that male WTs should not initiate females. and vice versa.
The central idea is that the rule was there since the very beginning but
later on it got implemented forcefully in a deliberate manner.

                       THE WAY OF CHEESY JINANIS

So those who are blind and half-baked pundit they wrongly conclude that
some or other time Baba upgraded His philosophy or modified it. Jinanis
think like this due to their lack of deeper understanding. Better they
should read more, study more, do more sadhana, and then they will understand.
The beauty of spirituality is that it is based on veracity, eternal truth.
And Baba's all teachings are apta vakya. So there is no question of
modifying them because AM ideology is eternally perfect. To understand
these things more elaboration is needed, that is a different matter. But
modification is not needed.

                             BABA'S BLESSING

Here in conclusion is a blessing from Baba:

Baba says, "Utilizing the vibrations created for eternal time by Shrii
Shrii Anandamurtiji through janusparsha and varabhaya mudras, take yourself
and the entire universe ahead along the path of all-round welfare. Omn
Shanti." (CC_1)

Rambabu

Note: Here below is another guideline signifying the perfect teachings of AM

Baba says: "Dharmashastra is to establish the human beings in the stable,
exalted position of spiritual ideation; it must be practical, rational,
infallible, and universal. It must be based on deep eternal truth. It must
be aptavakya. A scripture is a guiding entity. The Subhasita Samgraha
series of books are the scripture of Ananda Marga ideology." (APH-4, 'Our
Spiritual Treatise')

                     Purpose of Marriage

Baba says, "'Be like Shiva and Parvati, go on doing your worldly duties
along with your psychic and spiritual pursuits, be the assets of the entire
civilisation, and by your service the whole society should be benefited."
Note: The hidden meaning behind Baba's blessing is that in Ananda Marga
marriage is not for carnal pleasures and sensual satisfaction. Rather is
entails a serious commitment that has a deep significance. The marriage
system in AM is for building up one human society worthy of its name.
