Namaskar,

On 01 Jul 2012 Tarun Dada wrote:

My response:

I have a few points to add:

DAMAGE CONTROL

Now GS Dada Citsvarupananda started sending other central dadas around in order to pacify those who loaned him money. Those central workers were given the tough job of smoothing the situation over - and even garnering sympathy for GS because he got duped. How far have they been successful in this task? Well, suffice to say, our local acaryas and margii brothers and sisters who lost their funds are furious and want more of the facts.

GS WAS NOT SCAMMED  - HE SCAMMED US

It has come down to this: Not all the dadas, didis and margiis who loaned GS Citsvarupananda money are believing his story. Some are saying that GS did not get scammed by anyone, rather he himself fabricated everything and engineered his own scam on us – the margiis and dadas etc.

Now a huge commotion is erupting across Delhi sector and news of this entire scandal is fast spreading around.

SOME OF THOSE WHO LOST MONEY

There is a long list of those who were cheated by GS Dada in this financial scam. Already it was mentioned that many margiis from Delhi lost their money as did Kalyanmitranandji. Here are some others we can add to this long and growing list:

(1) Ac Dharmaviirananda Avt (RS Chandrigarh): Dada gave 15,000 rupees and that is all gone.
(2) Ananda Cittaprabha Didi, WWS: Didi gave RS 25,000 and that too is all gone.

MORE NEWS ABOUT THIS

What about you the reader? Do you have any more details about what is going on?

Ac Sarvatmananda & Ac Pranavatmakananda are also well-versed in collecting money for false projects and mishandling and diverting funds (money laundering) for their retirement.

Namaskar,

"Now Citsvarupananda is telling he cannot return the money (i.e. lakhs and lakhs) that he borrowed from margiis, dadas, and didis because he lost it all to some scammer."

Yes, I have heard about this matter - Ac. Kalayanmitrananda Avt (RS) informed me about this scam. Dada Kalyanmitranandji himself was frustrated and worried - wondering how will he pay back the margiis who gave him money to loan to GS Dada. Because that money is now gone.

WHAT HAPPENED

Here is a brief chain of events and how GS Dada Citsvarupanandji is turning the situation on its head.

In total, using his sentimental pitch, GS Dada borrowed between 25 – 30 lakhs rupees. That’s right, he initially stated that he only needed 7 1/2 lakhs to cover the transaction fees for the donor party in the United States etc. Yet GS he borrowed 25 – 30 lakhs (i.e. 30 x 100,000) from hard-working dadas, didis, and margiis. So GS Citsvarupananda borrowed 4 times what he claimed he needed to cover the bank and legal fees.

Dadaji never revealed how many people he borrowed money from nor how much he got from each. It was all done under the cloak of darkness. Only later have we gotten this confirmed figure.

Now all of a sudden, Citsvarupananda is turning around and telling all the margiis & wts who loaned him money that he himself (i.e. GS Dada) was scammed. He says he paid all the bank and legal fees as requested to the overseas contact in the US, and now he (GS) is unable to reach that party. In short, the 25 crore (or 250 million rupee) donation was just a sham and Dada has lost all the margii loans – i.e 25 – 30 lakhs rupees. That is GS Dada's claim.

So GS Dada is trying to appease all those who loaned money by saying, “Just treat your lost money as a donation to Guru – do not think anything further.” This is his strategy to quell everyone’s anger and astonishment.

The question that remains: Was GS Dada really scammed by an outside party or....

Do others have more of the details? Waiting to hear.

Namaskar,
Tarun Jain

Note 1: HAPPENS ACROSS THE BOARD

This type of corruption is not isolated only with Dada Citsvarupanandji and Ranchi group; this is prevalent in EC & B group as well. They have all kinds of cheating tactics which I will write about also.

Note 2: LINKS TO OTHER LETTERS ABOUT CITSVARUPANANDA'S MISBHEAVIOUR

The following report appeared in this letter: http://am-global-01.blogspot.com/2009/11/various-points-of-sadhana-news.html

NEWS: "RAJNU DADA(S)" TWO DADAS ALWAYS HANGING AROUND DIDIS

It is well known that Citsvarupa'nanda and Madhuvrata'nanda are always involved in and busy with the Didi's department. They have no time for dadas. They try to handle didis dept. Dadas comment that Citsvarupananda is CWWS of WWD and Madhuvratananda is SWWS of Didi dept. B/c of the interference of these dadas, good didis feel uneasy. Indeed it is well known that Citsvarupa'nanda's character is not good. He is a “Majnu” brand worker. For those who are not aware, in 1976 there was a blockbuster movie in Hindi calle Laila Majnu. And in the movie the lead male was totally infatuated and glued to the female star, Laila. Majnu's emotional and sensual attachment was so strong. Thus nowadays when any male gets infatuated with females people label that male as "Majnu". That is the proverb these days in Hindi. Because of Citsvarupananda's poor dealing and deep attachment for females, he is just branded as Majnu by the mass of Dadas. This is their inside joke. It is unfortunate that such has become the fate and reputation of Citsvarupananda. Let us all hope and pray that he can turn his life around and become a respectable cadre of Ananda Marga. That will be the best outcome. We should all help maximally in this regard. (posted 11.1.2009)

PRABHAT SAMGIITA

PS Intro: In devotional life there is no one else besides Parama Purusa - Baba. So devotees are always talking with Him, in one manner or another. In this below song, the devotee is communicating with Parama Purusa using indirect language. This demonstrates that there are multiple ways to communicate with Baba.

This example demonstrates this same idea. In various reporting sessions, many devotees used to say directly to Baba, 'I want the grace of Baba' - as opposed to saying I want Your grace. Or some would say to Baba that, 'I want His grace'. Or here is another thing that would happen. Sometimes when talking about Himself, Baba used to say, "Baba knows everything', instead of saying, 'I know everything'. This all goes to show that there are the various ways of expression.

Or it is just like how someone's ista mantra may be based on auto suggestion or outer suggestion. In either case, that mantra japa is related only with the sadhaka and Parama Purusa. No third person is included. This shows how the devotional expression may vary, but in all cases the devotee is communicating with Parama Purusa.

The central idea is that whatever is expressed in this below Prabhat Samgiita is communicated directly between the devotee and Parama Purusa.

The devotee is referring to Parama Purusa as 'He' and 'Him', not 'You'. And not only in this song, but there are many songs of this nature in our Prabhat Samgiita collection. And in each case when coming across such songs, we should think that the devotee is communicating with Parama Purusa - there is not any third party involved. Whereas in the dogmatic Hindu religion this type of song is depicted as one devotee talking to another devotee about Parama Purusa. But in Ananda Marga our devotion is pointed: Besides Parama Purusa there is none.

"A'ma'r e manobiin'a' chandahiina'..." (PS 198)

Purport:

The viina of my mind has no rhythm; it only plays if He plays it. Only by following His tune can my viina be played. I do not have an iota of devotion in my heart. I cannot do sadhana. There is no rhythm. Only if He comes and graces me and fills my heart with devotion, only then is it possible for me to do sadhana. Because without His divine grace, my mind is dry and does not have any devotion. My spiritual life will only come in the proper flow by following His do's and don'ts, His guidelines, His teachings, His ideals etc. In that case and only by His grace will sadhana be possible.

He is surrounding me in all directions; He is everywhere. Every expression is His smile; whatever has been created in this universe is His beauty. With the blossom of the flower He smiles, with the chirping of the birds He smiles, and with the natural wonder of the mountains He smiles. All the flora and fauna is nothing but His divine magnificence. He is everywhere - all around me. But when I sit and try to close my eyes to do sadhana and request that He should sit close to me in dhyana, then He does not come close. Rather He drifts away to some far, unknown, distant land. Where He goes who knows. But in that situation the happiness and blissful feeling of my heart wanes.

From a distance He looks towards me because He is all around me. But He does not allow Himself to be held; He does not come close in my heart or in my mind. With the tune of His divine liila, He goes on dancing somewhere - who knows where.

O' Lord, I do not have any quality, or sweetness, or devotion, in my heart. If You grace me and if by Your own attribution You come and sit in my heart and smile softly, then only is my sadhana possible...

Indeed, a huge financial scam has unfolded in the highest echelons of our AMPS structure. Here is a basic sketch of what has transpired:

1. Recently GS Dada Citsvarupanandaji approached acaryas and margiis – one on one – for financial contributions; i.e. GS Dada wanted or needed to borrow money from margiis, dads & didis.

2. GS Dadaji claimed that a huge donation of 25 crores (i.e. 25 x 10,000,000 or 250 million) rupees was coming from a third party in the US – a social service club.

3. Dadaji explained that in order for him as GS Dada to receive this huge donation of 25 crores, he would have to cover all lawyer fees, bank transaction fees, and taxes.

4. In this way Citsvarupananda Dada claimed that he needed RS 7 1/2 lakhs or RS 750,000 up front in order to secure the contribution of 250 crores from overseas.

5. On this premise, Dadaji quietly and secretly approached countless dadas, didis and margiis for loans in order to raise the 7 1/2 lakhs of rupees.

6. To be effective as possible in securing the maximum number of loans, GS Dada used one pitch, or line, to reel people in. He would say things like: “I am in my hour of need – this is a test to see who is my own – who will help me in my time of need – and this is that time.” This is the sentimental strategy that GS Dada adopted in order coax people into lending him money.

7. Many put their trust in GS and gave him money. It should also be noted that Dadaji promised that every lender would be paid back double once the big 250 crore contribution arrived. He also advised everyone not to tell people about this special plan, otherwise “they will snatch away your money in the future.”

8. Among the various workers and family margiis who loaned GS Dada money, I know that many margiis from Delhi also contributed.

Now Citsvarupananda is telling everyone that he cannot return the money (i.e. lakhs and lakhs) that he borrowed from margiis, dadas, and didis because he lost it all to some scammer.

Namaskar,
Cakreshvara Shrivastav

== POSSIBLE SCAM BY GS ==

Namaskar,

I have heard this news which I am writing below. If any reader has more information, please write.

Current GS Dada (Ranchi), Ac. Citsvarupananda Avt, recently collected a huge sum of money (25 - 30 lakhs of rupees) from various Wts and margiis as a loan.

GS Dada promised to return back the money many-fold to lenders. But now he is not willing to return any of the money back to margiis and WTs.

Rather, GS Dada is abusing and scolding those workers and margiis who ask for their money back.

Dada Citsvarupananda is trying to convince everyone that he lost that huge sum of money, i.e. 25 - 30 lakhs. Dadaji's claim is that he already lost all the money which he borrowed; all that loan money is gone.

So Citsvarupanandji is telling everyone that he cannot return the money to them; all those margiis and workers who lent him money have now lost their money. Dadaji says: Margiis & workers should console thus themselves that they donated to the organization. That is what Dadaji is telling everyone. He is also requesting everyone not to remind him of this matter because he cannot return the money since he lost it all.

Hearing this reply from Dada Citsvarupanandaji, WTs and margiis are frustrated and furious.

If any margii has come to know more about this incident please write.

Namaskar,
Nataraj

Note: HOW MUCH IS A LAKH

Most probably know that one lakh is equal to 100,000. So 25 - 30 lakhs is the equivalent of 2.5 - 3 million rupees. Thus GS Dada borrowed nearly 3 million rupees from margiis and workers; and now he is claiming that he lost all that money and people cannot get their money back.

== DAUGHTER'S LUCRATIVE JOB ==

Namaskar,
Here is news and a very important report about one margii's daughter who joined Wt life and became an avadhutika. In her current posting, she has been collecting a lot of money and sending it to her laokik family on a regular basis. Here are some of the details surrounding this case.

SPECIFIC DETAILS OF THE CASE

1. This Didi is currently posted as the trainer at the Didis WT Training Center (TC) in Bangalore, and per the system she is giving classes and guiding the trainees.

2. At the same time, as remarked in the introduction above, it cannot be overlooked that the current trainer has other inclinations as well.

3. Actually this Didi wants to keep her post as trainer didi (TD) as she understands well its inherent value - she recognises that it is an important post. She receives financial donations from around the globe to support her work with the trainees. So Didi teaches the trainees sincerely in order to keep the donations rolling in.

4. In particular, margiis from all over donate money allotted for food, clothing, medicine, expenses, maintenance and more for the WT Training Centre (TC). Those margiis want to sincerely support the Didis WT training center in Bangalore in order to create the highest standard of wt didis. So margii supporters generously donate to the institution with the idea that the trainees should be well-fed, healthy, and cared for; plus those margiis donate with the idea that all monies are going to improve the facilities by enhancing the library, improving educational opportunities, making a sentient kitchen, and ensuring that the centre is proper in all respects. With this feeling in mind, margiis generously support the Bangalore TC.

5. Thus Didiji receives a "healthy" sum of contributions on a regular basis from around the globe - all of which is designated for the use and upkeep of the Ananda Marga Didis WT Training Centre.

6. But that is not going on - that is the tragedy. All those monies are not going towards improving the integrity and standard of the WT TC. Rather, Trainer Didi keeps 50% of all donations for herself and sends those funds back to her laokika family in her village. That is the sad reality.

7. One more thing that need be mentioned here is that this Wt Trainer Didi is herself the daughter of a well-known margii family. That margii family resides in one village. The local villagers know that the family is accumulating big money from the Wt daughter. So those villagers think that being a Wt in Ananda Marga means having a high-paying job and getting a lucrative salary.

8. And there is more to be known about this episode which I hope others will report.

OUR DUTY

Now we have to watch out and not donate until we see the money is being used in the right way. We should see first-hand with our own eyes. Our duty is to spread this type of news and inform donors. Such things should not fester in the dark. Rather, these wrongdoings need to be highlighted and stopped.

Plus donors should not give funds in the future without getting an exact report of how the money is spent. Otherwise, money will get mishandled and used in the wrong way. We will have a repeat situation. It is like feeding the devil.

Baba has directed us in the chapter on Tapah in "A Guide to Human Conduct" that if donated money is not utilized for a just and worthy cause, then the donor is also responsible for that misdeed(s). Thus, always be alert that your donation does not go in the wrong hand.

MORE INFORMATION

Do you know more about this incident with this Trainer Didi in Bangalore or other situations where money is not properly utilized by our workers?

Here it should be understood that what is being reported here is just the tip of the iceberg. This is not an isolated incident with one Didi, but rather a systemic, pervasive problem across the board with so many wholetime workers.
I am hearing from people who know that there are countless cases and others are bringing these to the fore.

Namaskar,
Ram Kumar

Note 1: TRAINER DIDI GOING AGAINST HER DHARMA

By her actions of siphoning organisational funds to her laokik family, trainer didi is breaking all kinds of dharmic codes.

Baba says, "No relationship should exist with worldly family." (Point #9, "32 Rules for Avadhutikas")

So when Baba's directive is that no worker should have contact with their worldly family then it is 100% evident that it is wrong for Didi to be communicating with her laokik family and diverting funds to them. It goes without saying that taking organisational money for such purposes amounts to cheating and theft.

Baba furthermore guides us that Wts are only to look after the bigger, universal family. They are not to engage in the affairs of their mundane worldly family.

Baba says, "What is the small family? It includes one’s parents, sisters, brothers, spouse, and other relatives such as aunts, uncles and so on...This is one’s small family. And the big family is the whole universe and its suffering humanity...the sannyásin has only one family – the big family – so there is no question of adjustment there." (Ananda Vacanamrtam - 30, Self-Realization and Service to Humanity)

Here again, by involving in the affairs of her small family, Didi is going against her code of being a wholetime worker of the Marga. So from start to finish the whole situation is very bad. Anyone indulging in this manner is a fake sannyasin - a dyed jackal - a wolf in a sheep's dress. Such a person is not a true sannyasin.

Note 2: OUR WTS ARE NOT PAID

Just in case anyone is at all confused, our Wts are not paid a salary - that is not the system in Ananda Marga. So no new or naive margii should think that our workers are like corporate employees who receive paychecks, bonuses and big salaries. That is not our way.

Note 3: WHO IS THAT DIDI

The didi in the above report is Ananda Madhurima Acarya. She is the Trainer Didi in Bangalore who sends so much organizational money to her laokik family.

PRABHAT SAMGIITA

Purport:

O' Divine Entity, who are You who has come today in the flower garden of my mind & without my awareness filled up Your basket by plucking all my flowers. Which Divine Personality are You who has done like this. Baba, neither did I ask You to come, nor did I ask You to please sit - indeed I could not receive You properly in the canopy of my mental flower garden.

O' Baba, Your grace is unimaginable. When I call You, then You do not come; and now without any invitation You have blessed me by coming - it is Your grace. And You are silently looking at everything in the flower garden of my mind and You are not telling anything - just You smiled and got involved in plucking the flowers. Baba, Your liila is unique.

O Parama Purusa, I do not have the capacity to understand what type of liila' You are playing. Why do You go on playing with my mind. In my mental garden, without my awareness, You go on swaying Your love. And You go on creating vibrations there without my awareness. And You fill my mind with Your divine attraction and love.

Baba, O' the Divine Entity, You have graced me by coming...

BABA

== BABA STORY ABOUT SERIOUS INJUSTICE ==

Namaskar,
Here is one key event from the 2011 DMS at Ananda Nagar (January) that we should collectively review. It is deeply related with one Baba story. First let's tell the Baba story and then we will narrate the critical happening from the January 2011 DMS.

                                               BABA STORY:

                         PRIZES WRONGLY AWARDED AT DMC

As per the custom, with pomp and show, prizes were awarded at the January 1983 DMC at Ananda Nagar. A committee comprised of Wts convened and selected the winners; and, accordingly those recipients received the award at DMC.

After finishing the program, Baba made His exit from the pandal and returned back to the BQ (Baba's Quarters). Baba then called the various in-charges and questioned them about the prizes. Baba then appointed a team to further investigate the matter. The investigative team quickly reported back to Baba and confirmed that the selection process had been biased and that the prizes had been given to undeserving and unworthy candidates.

Baba immediately called all the workers to His room and He harshly scolded those Dadas on the selection committee for their partiality and favouritism. Baba told them that the work of a judge is an honourable duty yet they had denigrated the position by their sour dealings. What they had done was shameful and deplorable. Baba then ordered those guilty Dadas to get down on the ground and press their nose into the floor. They were then told to rub their nose across the carpet for 10 ft. This act was punishment to humiliate them so they could understand their sinful behaviour; there was no injury or physical pain involved as the carpet was soft. As those guilty committee members did like this, the rest of the Wts present chanted, "Shame, Shame...Shame, Shame." Then those guilty Dadas promised those present that they would never commit such sin in the future.

The next day in the DMC pandal, it was announced to everyone that the prizes had been wrongly awarded. The selection committee had been partial. They had failed miserably in carrying out their duty as judge. Theirs was a kangaroo committee. Baba then made those guilty Dadas come up on the stage and beg apology and ask for forgiveness from all those assembled in the DMC pandal.

Baba said to all, "Should they be pardoned?". All present that day approved.

But that was not the end of the situation.

Baba then rebuked those undeserving recipients for accepting the award. Baba demanded that such persons should never have accepted those prizes. Rather they should have stood up and said, "I am not worthy of this award." In this manner Baba strongly blamed both parties involved: The selection committee and the recipients. Baba blamed both parties; all were culprits.

Baba went on to explain in front of everyone that this is not the way to build a healthy human society. The duty of a judge should be carried out responsibly; partiality has no place in our social life. In addition, incompetent persons should never be commended or awarded prizes. Rather deserving people should always be recognised.

In closing, Baba fully ensured that all those prizes were redistributed to worthy candidates.

Everyone who attended that DMC got a big lesson: In our Marga there is no place for partiality and favouritism. All prizes must be awarded in a conscientious manner to deserving people - otherwise both parties are to be blamed: Both the selection committee and the recipients. That is what we should all take away from this story.

YOU CAN ALSO PURCHASE ANY PRIZE IN AM THESE DAYS

Now let's take a look at what occurred at the January 2011 DMS. At that DMS prizes were awarded by PP Dada Vishvadevananda. In particular, someone received the prize as "The Best Bhukti Pradhan". Usually such prizes are given to those BP's who have done great work such as extraordinary pracara or unparalleled social service etc. Otherwise how can they be named as the best bhukti pradhan in the world.

But here in this case, one margii who never attends DC, is slack in 16 Points, and involves in caste marriages was given the prize of best bhukti pradhan. In addition, this margii neither practices sadhana nor asanas regularly, and he indulges in poor food habits. The only qualification he has is money; he is rich. Because of this, he was able to purchase the 2011 January DMS prize: "The Best Bhukti Pradhan" of the entire planet.

Here is the story about that BP.

To keep control of the Hyderabad unit, Dada Savitananda has repeatedly requested Sanjay Goenkaji to serve as the BP of Hyderabad. No election takes place; just he is granted the position outrightly.

At the same time, if you ask Sanjay Goenka if he attends DC at the jagrti in Hyderabad, then he will reply negatively. Indeed it is commonly known that Sanjay Goenka does not regularly attend dharmacakra at the jagrti - plus many are aware that Sanjay Goenka is quite lax in 16 Pts and he follows casteism. All the marriages in his family are arranged within his own caste, i.e. the marwarai business community of India. One should not forget that this community is notorious for sucking the blood of others.

The question comes: Why is Goenkaji automatically granted the post of BP by Savitananda? Answer: Because Sanjay Goenka is a moneyed man. He has money and he gives big money to certain Dadas in the organisation. For that reason he is given the BP post year after year after year.

Now we come to the real issue.

At the January 2011 Ananda Nagar DMS, PP Dada (i.e. Vishvadevananda) awarded Sanjay Goenka the prize of "The Best Bhukti Pradhan" of the entire world - and Goenkaji accepted.

Yet we all know that Baba says that every bhukti pradhan must be very diligent in 16 Points. The BP must be sincere in sadhana, and follow all the personal points like asanas, fasting, use of water and much more. And the BP of course must attend dharmacakra and oppose dogmas like the caste system. Across Delhi sector and throughout the globe we have countless BP's who are very sincere in attending to all of Sixteen Points; indeed there are so many deserving and qualified candidates. Yet "The Best Bhukti Pradhan" prize was awarded to Sanjay Goenka of Hyderabad, someone who does not even regularly attend the weekly dharmacakra at the jagrti.

Is this not shameful.

According to the teaching from the above Baba story, both the selection committee and the recipient should be rebuked harshly. They should be punished and made to rub their nose on the ground in front of all at dharmacakra and the next DMS. Otherwise they will have to face consequences for their sinful dealing life after life. If anyone is not punished for their adharmic misdeeds, they cannot escape from the Cosmic Operative Principle. So the selection committee must atone for their sin and beg apology in front of all and Goenka should stand up and say that he is not deserving of this prize. Then and only then will things be righted.

Unfortunately, the selection committee was partial and unjust, and the recipient was unworthy. It is as simple as that. It is tragic that those involved failed to learn from Baba's divine example.

                                  THE REAL DETERMINING FACTOR

Here Baba guides us that proper conduct - i.e. strict adherence to 16 Points - is the requisite factor for determining one's worth. Then one is deserving of receiving a top prize like "Best Bhukti Pradhan" - otherwise not.

Baba says, "Your ideal is represented by your conduct. Your learning, your social or economic status have nothing to do with your ideal." (Ananda Vanii #13)

Thus money and social status have nothing to do with being worthy of a prize. It must be based purely on one's dharmic conduct. Yet Sanjay Goenka received the prize exclusively because of his financial wealth. There is no other reason.

BLACK PACT BETWEEN CAPITALISTS & PRIESTS

Why did this terrible injustice happen with the "Best BP "prize? Here following is the reason given by Baba.

Baba says, "Capitalism will never go against the priesthood nor will priests go against capitalism." (PNS-15, Talks on Prout)

As Baba explains above there is a black pact between capitalists (Sanjay Goenka) and the priest class (our Acaryas etc). Here we should all remember that the term priest means acarya, avadhuta, and those attending to religious / dharmic duties.

Baba furthermore describes this problem.

Baba says, "Religious exploiters maintain an unholy alliance with the capitalistic exploiters. With hands upraised, a religious preceptor blesses the wealthy merchants for their future prosperity but refuses to see the faces of his poor disciples who fail to provide handsome prańámii (a fee for the priest’s blessing)." (AMIWL-7)

Similarly, PP Dada & Co were quick to recognise Sanjay Goenka because of his wealth while all those sincere margiis were skipped over by the prize committee.

HOW TO PREVENT THIS IN THE FUTURE

Those judges who select the recipients of the prizes are the main culprits as they plunged themselves into partiality. Here then Baba provides us with the key way to prevent such serious injustices in the future. Baba wants that judges should be ideal as noted below.

Baba says, "Judges should be carefully selected from among those whose strength of character is irrefutable." (HS-1)

When this is done - when our judges are of sterling character - then we will not witness such sinful events like PP Dada bestowing a prestigious prize upon a totally undeserving candidate like Sanjay Goenka.

Namaskar,
Ishvara

Note:                 PLEASE FORWARD TO SANJAY GOENKA

Please send this letter to Sanjay Goenka and if you do not know his email address then send this letter to his relation, SS Goenka. This will help Sanjay Goenka to mend his ways and get the requital of his sins. Finally, if anyone has Sanjay Goenka's email address please send that to me so I can serve him also.

Purport:

Baba, You have come with the shining chariot of divine effulgence. You
have come to take everyone to the divine realm.
You do not differentiate between who is great, who is meagre, & who is
small etc. You listen to everyone's tales-- to everyone's feeling of the
heart.
Baba, even without seeing You, I have loved You. I am always feeling
close & loving towards You. And even when I have not heard about You, I
have been attracted by Your divinity.   Baba, You are so gracious. You
do not make judgements based on one's merits or demerits. You love all,
unconditionally. And I understand that You are always present-- across
all time and space.
O' my dearmost, You have done so much for me, and in return You do
not want anything. In spite of knowing about hundreds of defects in me,
You have made me Yours and accepted me as Your own.
Baba, You have showered Your causeless grace on me. You have come here
on this dusty earth to take everyone onto the path of divinity. Baba,
You are so gracious...

DELHI SECTOR SEMINAR & OVERSEAS RETREATS

Namaskar,
As we work to create a cohesive, family feeling in our Marga, here is a point that calls for our attention and consideration.

We all want our Marga to grow by reviving those who are less active and by attracting new people. As we all know, any organisation that is not attracting new people is step by step moving towards the cremation ground. And one day it will become extinct.

One very practical way of increasing our numbers is to understand and implement our donation-based seminar system. This differs drastically from our overseas retreat model and from our current DMS format.

Here then is a comparative list that contrasts our donation-based seminar model with our overseas retreat model.

General Note: In the Delhi sector seminar system - which is really meant for the entire globe - attendees come together for a three day program to study specific spiritual and social teachings. The overall aim is to present, learn and study certain aspects of Ananda Marga philosophy which is expounded in the "Seminar Notes" publication. That is the main emphasis. In addition, each and every hour of the day runs according to a schedule that includes dharmacakra, asanas, food, and related programs. The overseas retreats are similar in many respects but are often less intellectually oriented. Generally there is not a rigorous course of study involved as in the seminar system. Instead there might be more akhanda kiirtan or sadhana shivir etc and of course retreats follow a 24hr daily routine.

That said, here below begins a comparative study of these two models with respect to generating family feeling within our Marga community.

                        OVERSEAS RETREATS: FIXED REGISTRATION PRICE

1) At our overseas AM retreats, we adhere to a business model where all have to pay a fixed price for registration to enter the retreat and for accommodation and those who cannot afford it either cannot go or are forced to perform all kinds of menial chores in order to "pay their way". More about this is described below. Our DMS functions at Ananda Nagar also follows this fee-based model with regards to accommodation and lodging etc.

SEMINARS ARE FREE FOR ALL ATTENDEES

CULTIVATES FAMILY FEELING & COMMITTED ANANDA MARGIIS

2) In contrast, throughout Delhi sector, the seminar system has long been in vogue. Per Baba's prescribed format given in 1970, our seminars are free for all attendees. During the planning stages of the seminar, the organisers collect donations from long-time committed margiis who can afford to give. That is the main way the seminars are funded; in addition those organisers get food & supplies donations from local markets. By this approach, those who are financially poor or fringe margiis have the option to contribute or not. It is totally voluntary. The aim is to get maximum attendees and that can only be done if it is free for all. Yet all services - i.e. food & accommodation - are the same for all attendees irrespective of the amount of their donation. This is a good formula as all feel comfortable and welcome at the program. This generates family feeling.

3) One point to add here is that seminar attendance is mandatory for all Ananda Margiis. One must attend at least some level of seminar. The seminar cannot be compulsory if a fee is charged; that is another reason why it is open to all. By this wide-spread attendance, many people spend time together and this generates a family feeling. Seminars are looked upon as something special, hence all like to attend. For instance, if in one unit, there are 10 or 15 people who regularly attend dharmacakra, then the seminar for that same unit might attract 500 participants. It is a time for all to come together.

4) Part of the beauty then of Baba's special seminar system is that attendees will not pay anything and the organisers will manage all the expenses by collecting donations ahead of time from committed margiis with financial means and by market contributions. Our seminars started in this manner and by this way the attendance at our seminars became huge. People are not pressured or strained by financial concerns. By this way, so many become more involved in the Marga and children of "fringe margiis" often grow up to become dedicated sadhakas based on their positive  experience at these seminars.

                          OVERSEAS RETREATS ARE FEE BASED

5) The overseas retreat system is quite different. At these retreats, all are charged a fixed registration fee in order to attend and / or stay at the retreat site. This can be quite pricey for some. Unfortunately this fee-based system results in a double-loss. Margii attendees do not become emotionally attached to the community and those wealthy attendees who have more money do not pay their fair share - for them the fee is too low. But since that fixed-fee is what they are asked to pay, that is what they give. Whereas if it was based more on a donation system, those same margiis would give far more financial support.

6) In addition, because of the fixed registration fee at these overseas retreats, some margiis are scared away and do not attend as they do not want to beg for a discount. They feel humiliated. No doubt, at some overseas retreats the organisers may offer a discount if you are poor etc. In that case, you can pay a reduced tuition and / or pay via a "work assignment" by washing dishes in the kitchen. But this is all quite humiliating. The deal may be that if you are financially in need then you can pay less, but the feeling is that you are less respected and that you will have to "pay" in other ways by working long hours in the kitchen while others are in dharmacakra. This approach lacks the open-armed, welcoming feeling. But this does not happen in the seminar system.

7) Another way of looking at this is that in the overseas retreat system, people are penalised for not being able to afford the standard tuition. Whereas in our AM seminar system as given by Baba, there is no standard fee. The whole concept is based on the idea that everyone must attend at least one level of seminar and they need not pay anything to attend, only they must cover their travel expenses. The financial responsibility falls on the organisers and those who have more money. The overall benefit of this donation-based system is that it generates emotional attachment to the community. All attend: young and old, professionals and students, villagers and city folk - everyone. With this great family feeling, naturally the wealthy margii participants will have discreet talks with the organisers to ensure that everything is ok financially. That is the way things work in the seminar system.

                               THE BENEFITS OF MAXIMUM ATTENDANCE

8) Again, in our donation-based seminars, the goal is for maximum margiis to participate. That increases both our overall numbers and heightens our collective sense of family feeling. The overseas business retreat model most often fails to increase our overall numbers and lacks that overall family feeling due to financial constraints and pressures. As we all know, where there is no family feeling then that organisation dies.

                               ANANDA MARGA IS BHAGAVATA DHARMA

9) We have to remember that people come into AM gradually. All have come from animal life and it is not easy for people to leave behind all their bad habits and adhere to 16 Points etc. People do not become great sadhakas overnight and strict adherents of bhagavata dharma. Yet we want all to attend our programs because by this way people will grow and feel more attached to our Marga. If we pressure them for money, then they will not come at all. So our seminar and festival systems - which encourage maximum participation at no cost to anyone - is a great way to increase our numbers and bring people into the fold.

10) Those who are fringe margiis keep linked with AM by attending seminars in their area. DMS is often too far for them to travel and they do not attend DC because of lack of interest. So the seminar becomes one perfect stepping-stone for the entry and growth into the Marga. They come to seminars because of some faint connection with AM and because they believe in Baba. Since those seminars are free and indeed compulsory, that is why seminars our became large gatherings. And those attendees became more active margiis.

11) In this century, what people need most is love. People need to feel that they are a part of something great. And when we can create that welcoming feeling then people will feel attracted to come and attend. That will be a boon for our Marga - and naturally people will be inspired to support the program financially. It is a win-win-win situation: More attendees more funds, and a stronger more vibrant AM community.

                                                    RESOLUTION

12) As far as possible, our DMS programs at Ananda Nagar should follow this donation-based system, especially with regards to accommodations.

Namaskar,
Mukunda

Note 1:           EMULATE SENSE OF DUTY FOUND IN OTHER RELIGIONS

In our Ananda Marga, Baba has given a call to duty but unfortunately we have not properly implemented that in our retreat system.

In contrast, the various religious followers like the Sikhs and Muslims feel it is their duty to attend to all kinds of mundane affairs at their retreat functions. Everyone participates in clean-up duty and maintenance work. They feel they acquire virtue by this way. Hence, whether rich or poor, all do this. There is no disparity in their place of worship and congregation halls. So all come; all attend; and participate as one family.

However, at our overseas retreats, many have noticed that some no longer like to attend anymore because if they cannot afford the standard fee, then they are burdened with an onslaught of chores and tasks, which are not asked to be done by those who pay the full amount. In that case those unable to pay the standard fee become indentured servants. This runs directly contrary to our family feeling. In the end, those who cannot afford the fee feel it is better not to attend at all.

Note 2:                    MORE ABOUT THE SEMINAR SYSTEM

The seminar starts on the central level. There is a trainer and attendees. Then those attendees of the central level seminar become trainers for the sectorial level seminars. And the attendees of the sectorial level seminar become the trainers for the regional level seminar. In this way it works all the way down to the district, block and village level. In addition, a publication is issued - "Seminar Notes" - which contains Baba's teachings for that particular seminar. Throughout this entire process, each level of seminar is free to all attendees and is considered mandatory for all workers and margiis. Indeed, participation in the seminar is mandatory in order to attend DMC / DMS. So everyone has to go. This type of cohesive system naturally fosters great family feeling.

"A'loker jharana'-dha'ra'y sna'n kara'yecho tumi saba'ka'r man..." (PS 611)

Purport:

Baba You have showered Your causeless grace on everyone. With the spring
flow of effulgence You have drenched one and all. Everyone is enjoying
in the bliss of Your grace and proximity. This whole universe is
vibrated in Your vibration. Now the difference between close and far &
own and other has been lost. Everyone has become close-- intimate. You
have wreathed everyone's life with the bond of love. Irrespective of
their qualities everyone is feeling close to one another. By Your grace
You have vibrated this universe. Knowingly or unknowingly people are
ready to follow Ananda Marga Ideology. Rationality is developing and the
general common understanding is getting changed. The darkness of dogma
is vanishing away. Baba You are gracious to one and all...

== ECONOMIC INJUSTICE: HONOUR TO WRONG PERSON ==

Namaskar,
Sometimes we hear reports in the news of how an ultra-wealthy person is donating millions or even billions to a given cause or charity - albeit under a certain set of conditions.

In response, the common people go "oooh" and "ahhh" with great appreciation and veneration. They regard that "philanthropic donor" as a second god and sing the praises of their generosity with full admiration.

As Ananda Margiis, we have to step back and view the scene according to the dictates of bhagavad dharma. Then we will have a balanced perspective.

THESE TWO STORIES ARE VERY MEANINGFUL

What follows are two dharmic stories told by Baba which help us understand how to evaluate the value of a given service or donation.

There are three points for evaluating the greatness of a person's donation:
(1) Percentage: How much percentage of wealth was donated;
(2) Hardship: How much hardship they had to undergo in giving that money;
(3) Amount: The total amount donated is NOT a qualifying factor, but unfortunately this is the main thing people look at, and they overlook the above two factors. It is for this reason that this entire posting has been written.

These following stories make the point more clear.

                                                       STORY #1:
WHO DONATED WHAT PERCENTAGE OF THEIR WEALTH

Many may know the story from the mythological Ramayana which Baba Himself cites on numerous occasions. King Rama and his army needed to cross the waters from South India to Sri Lanka in order to rescue the Siita. So Rama called all his followers - fighters, animals, everyone - to build a bridge.

Baba says, "You know the story of the Rámáyańa. During construction of a bridge, the big monkeys carried large stones while the small squirrels brought only tiny grains of sand. Is there any difference between the carrying of tiny grains of sand by the squirrels on the one hand and the carrying of a whole mountain by Hanumán on the other? Both are equally valuable. You may be a small entity like a squirrel, but your existence is in no way insignificant." (Namami Krsna Sundaram, Disc: 21)

Baba says, "The most important point to consider is who has utilized his ability and to what extent. Hanuman [the mighty monkey, a devotee of Rama in the mythological epic the Rámáyańa] fetched huge boulders to build a bridge across the sea, while the squirrels collected small pebbles. Yet intrinsically both these actions have the same value...We cannot give more appreciation to those who have not utilized their potentialities properly but have done more work than to those who have fully utilized their talents." (Human Society Part 1, 'Social Justice')

In the above quote, the squirrel utlised 100% percent of its capacity and the big monkey did the same thing. So their contribution was equal despite the fact that the monkey carried much bigger objects. Their percentage of giving and degree of hardship is the same.

As the story goes, the bridge was built, Rama and his armies crossed, and Siita was rescued. The import of Baba's above teaching is that even though the squirrels only brought small pebbles, their offering and help was as much valued as the dramatic efforts of Hanuman. Why? Because those squirrels gave their all, according to their capacity and strength.

And that is one of Baba's golden guidelines with regard to rendering proper service. How much one is utilizing their inherent potential - what percentage of themselves are they giving toward a certain cause and how much hardship they are undergoing in their service.

When we apply this formula to the present day capitalist schema, we can understand that a $1 donation by someone who has only $10 is of greater worth than a $50 million ($50,000,000) donation by some capitalist billionaire. Because the amount that one gives is not the driving force; what is valued is the percentage of one's wealth and property that they are willing to offer. A poor man gave 10% of his wealth but a rich person has given only .5% percent of his wealth.

By Baba's dharmic guideline, the poor person has donated more than the billionaire hence the poor person should get more respect.

Although it looks like the rich person has given a lot because the amount is large, but in the realm of service it is quite minimal. Because he gave only .5% of his entire wealth and did not undergo any hardship. So his contribution of $50,000,000 is much less than the $1 given by the poor person.

Here the overall amount is meaningless. We should never look at the total amount per se, but evaluate the donation according to the percentage of one's wealth. That is our Ananda Marga way.

$1 to a poor man who does not have food is quite substantial whereas $50 million to a multi-billionaire is quite petty. Thus the poor person underwent greater hardship. That also counts per the viewpoint of bhagavad dharma.

One added point that should also be noted is that the billionaire will use their $50 million donation as a tax write-off and actually save money.

So for the billionaire the act of giving is often a mere exercise in managing their wealth in a strategic manner whereas the poor person who donates is actually giving away what little money he has. That is why, according to the dictates of bhagavad dharma, that $1 donation is greater as that represents a higher percentage of the person's total wealth. That is one parameter for measuring the quality of social service or one's generosity. And the second parameter is the degree of hardship.

                                                      STORY #2:
THE DEGREE OF SACRIFICE IS WHAT COUNTS

This next story is a bit longer and more involved. Here however is a short summary as the story holds great import to Baba's teaching on service and sacrifice.

Once there was a very poor family. They had almost no food and were on their deathbed. They were going to share their last few morsels of food amongst the four of them. Just as they were about to eat, a beggar knocked on their door. The beggar requested something to eat. The family knew that if they failed to eat that evening they would meet their death. Even then, one by one, they all gave up their portions and served it to the beggar. The beggar was deeply satisfied by their offering. That night those 4 family members died of starvation.

A mongoose witnessed the entire scene and was awestruck by the family's great sacrifice. The mongoose started rolling around on the floor and inadvertently rolled over some of the flour that had fallen onto the floor during the offering to the beggar. Because that offering was so pious, the wee-bit of flour turned the mongoose's coat golden wherever it came in contact with the mongoose. Half his body was touched, so half his body became golden.

Time passed.

Upon his coronation, King Yudhisthira offered a grand feast to all in the kingdom. The affair was full of pomp and show and featured the most sumptuous dishes imaginable. The mongoose arrived at the feast and rolled desperately on the floor wherever food had fallen in hopes of making the rest of his coat golden. But the food had no such effect - he did not become golden. Why? Because there was no selfless sacrifice in the offering. King Yudhisthira had tremendous wealth and he was feeding the kingdom as a display of his riches. There was no personal sacrifice involved. That is why the mongoose called the entire gathering a farce.

Baba's teaching in this second story is that the greatness of one's offering is measured by the degree of personal sacrifice and hardship. The poor family offered a very little amount of food but they were willing to sacrifice their life. So their offering was indeed great. In comparison, the King Yudhisthira presented mounds and mounds of fanciful dishes to his subjects - without having to undergo any personal sacrifice or suffering - so his offering was basically valueless, according to the measuring rod of bhagavad dharma.

Thus when teams of billionaires gather and give away huge amounts of wealth and property, but undergo no hardship themselves, then their offering is quite paltry in the eyes of dharma. It has little of no value. Whereas if a man has but one ripped blanket and he gives that to a needy passerby while he himself spends the night shivering in the cold, then that offering is very meaningful.

                                          SOME REVIEW

From the above two stories, we can understand that there are at minimum two critical factors at play. The value of a person's giving is measured by:

1) The percentage of wealth that is given away.

2) The degree of penance or hardship that is undergone by the person making the donation.

It is these two factors which truly determine the greatness of one's offering.

Unfortunately, most of the time people overlook these two factors and instead measure the "greatness of the offering" only by the amount. That is the tragedy.

In this way, exploitative vaeshayas who have billions of dollars get venerated for their so-called large donation of millions of dollars, when in fact that donation is but a minuscule amount of their total wealth. Plus such capitalists do not undergo an ounce of hardship in making that so-called big donation. Even then the common public sees all the zeroes - i.e. $10,000,000 - and thinks that capitalist is a second god and divinely generous.

Please read more below.

                                    WHAT HAPPENS IN "REAL LIFE"

In today's vaeshyan era, Baba's above mandates are essentially overlooked, or at the very least not used to determine the value of one's offering.

Because in today's market, when the mass of wealth is controlled by 1% of the population, the common people sit back dumbfounded and awed by how some ruling capitalists give away huge sums of wealth. The public hails such givers as "great philanthropists", "divinely generous", and "true friends of humanity" etc. They think such capitalists are really, truly great. They bow down to them with full reverence, honour and respect. When in fact, those big donors offered a paltry amount of their total wealth and did not undergo even an iota of sacrifice. Thus, for those big donors, their so-called act of giving was effortless yet it earned them great praise. They became champions in the eyes of the common people who were stupefied by the size of the gift.

That is one half of the story.

Then that same public looks upon their own value as marginal at best. They develop a huge inferiority complex and deem themselves to be comparatively worthless - they become pawns of capitalist exploitation. Such persons undergo endless trials and tribulations to give back to their families and communities, but that is all looked upon a quite trivial.

Rather all the gusto and glamour goes to those so-called great capitalists who control all the wealth. The newspapers, the media, the people, and the whole society gathers round in awe of those capitalists.

So the entire situation is upside down - indeed totally backwards. Those who are sacrificing the most and offering the greatest percentage of their wealth are marginalised and those who give paltry amounts of their enormous wealth are hailed as the great philanthropists. When in fact to accumulate such wealth they had to exploit the common people to the very bone.

Here Baba points out the hypocritical ways of such vaeshyas (capitalists).

Baba says, "Vaeshyas are not satisfied with just sucking people's blood, they often devour their flesh and bones as well; then they beat drums made from the skins of their victims as they deliver religious and philosophical discourses, build temples and construct lodgings for pilgrims, and undertake various other activities. They criticize materialism and try to
retard its progress not because they object to it philosophically or psychologically, but because in a materialistic system there is every possibility that their vested interests would be adversely affected. Although they support spirituality, they are not motivated by spiritual sentiments. The fake spirituality they preach actually injects impotency into society. In their endeavours they are assisted by like-minded exploiters who trade in religion." (Human Society-1, 'Various Occupations')

Actually such capitalists suffer from a psychic disease. They accumulate money not for their basic needs but to satisfy their misplaced longing of expansion. What such capitalists fail to understand is that mundane wealth can never satisfy our inner psychic urge for infinite peace. Instead of looking within they try to accumulate such a vast wealth which they cannot consume. This is their psychic disease.

Baba has put forth this edict about such capitalists.

Baba says, "These capitalists are the unworthy sons and daughters of the Cosmic Father because they go against the principle of cosmic inheritance. They should be cured of their ailments." ('Discourses on Prout')

MORE OF BABA'S TEACHINGS & PRACTICAL EXAMPLES

Here are more of Baba's divine teachings on this important topic of service and giving financial help.

First Baba points out that it is not the pomp and show of one's donation, but rather the conditions in which it was given.

Baba says, "You know, the measure of sacrifice is not its quantity or its grandeur. A sacrifice should always be measured in terms of the circumstances in which it has been rendered." (Ananda Vacanamrtam, part 31)

Thus when a poor person or a weak person gives their all in trying to help another, that far outshines the rubies and diamonds given by capitalist exploiters.

And here below Baba categorically states how a poor man's penny is greater than a wealthy man's fortune.

Baba says, "The charity of a few paise of the poor has the same value as a thousand rupees from a millionaire. Indeed the charity of those few paise is greater." (Subhasita Samgraha, part 1)

Plus in His own practical life, Baba clearly demonstrated how He never valued the "amount" of the offering but rather the devotional feeling of one's heart.

For instance, Baba would always accept an invitation to stay at a bhakta's residence even if that person was of modest means; and Baba would always refuse the luxurious offerings of big landowners when they gave only out of pomp and show.

Also who can forget the tale of when one wealthy businessman proudly tried to give Baba a bagful of money. Baba refused to see him and when the businessman finally cajoled his way into Baba's room, Baba took the bag of money and threw it outside His window. Immediately the businessman rushed out of Baba's room to retrieve his money and without a moment's delay, Baba shut & locked the door - neither accepting the businessman's company nor his "donation". Why? Because that businessman got that money through unfair and unethical means.

                                        MUST CORRECT THE SITUATION

The way things are now is not good. Greedy capitalists who are veritable enemies of society get treated as the golden ones, and the common people who toil day and night to support their families and help their communities are oft forgotten - their contributions are not at all recognised.

Baba says, "Days roll on. Empires, wealth and valorous human deeds ride on the wings of time, creating only brief flashes of brilliance. Against this panorama the efforts of common people, like those of the squirrels, do not receive recognition – they are like stones lost in the shadows of towering mountains. The leaders of society perform outstanding feats which are recorded in glowing letters in the annals of history. The students of later ages do research on them. But the common people, who carried the golden banners of these heroes, disappear into oblivion." (Human Society Part 1, 'Social Justice')

We must no longer give value to those who are undeserving (i.e. those capitalists) and instead we must give value to those who are deserving (i.e. the common people). Only then can society can progress, otherwise not. Till this situation is righted, people will continue to aspire to become rich by all kinds of wrong means. Because by this way they know they can get worldly power and be regarded as "divine and generous".

                                                     BABA'S BLESSING

By Baba's grace He has given us the duty to bring this capitalist era to and end. Such capitalists suffer from psychic disease: They hoard money when in fact it is meant for all.

When people have a better understanding about this then we can bring forth shudra revolution. Once the people know how capitalists got their money & and whose expense, then the masses will be ready to come forward and usher in the new era of social and economic justice. We must hasten this movement.

Namaskar,
Arjuna

Note 1:                      WHAT GOES ON IN ANANDA MARGA

In certain instances in our Marga, a few have fallen into the same capitalistic model outlined above. Some financially rich margiis give larger donations yet did not have to sacrifice or undergo any hardship whereas many simple margiis underwent much trouble in giving to the organisation. They may have dedicated their all their free time to helping out in a margii school or they may have spent countless hours collecting food and clothing for the poor. Yet it is those wealthier margiis with bigger checkbooks who are given the red-carpet treatment and invited to sit on all kinds of boards and committees.

A similar thing happens within our Wt ranks as well. Those Dadas involved in business and doing smuggling are often thought of as great, whereas those Dadas of little means working day and night in dharma pracar are overlooked.

Note 2:                        BUFFET'S LETTER TO BILLIONAIRES

In the last few months two of the world's richest men, Warren Buffett and Bill Gates, invited billionaires to give away portions of their wealth. In his letter, Mr Buffet offers the following call: What is most valuable to you is your time, and I am not asking you to give away that. I am asking you to give away an amount of money that will in no way infringe upon your current or future living standard. In a phrase, you will not even miss it. That was Buffett's central message. Thus per his own terms, Mr Buffett readily admits that their is no question of any sacrifice when a billionaire gives away portions of his wealth. The fact that they choose to give away some of their money is far better than if they had kept it all for themselves, but according to the yardstick of bhagavad dharma their giving is rather paltry.

Note 3:                         JUST BY THEIR SINFUL DEALINGS

This entire subject would be incomplete if we did not discuss how such capitalists got rich. This is not something that happened overnight by chance. It did not just suddenly come to them - rather they got their money from somewhere. Most often these capitalists have had a long-term devious motive. They indulged in so many sinful activities including not giving a fair share to their laborers who did all the work. Indeed these capitalists did all sorts of wrongs to collect their money. And along the way they purchased all the editors, writers and reporters and got the media in their favor. Thus they got positive press even though they did so many unjust acts.

Finally, those wealthy barons who do donate have a hidden agenda. Such donors give their money with certain stipulations for the propagation of their own name, brand or company etc. It is just like how certain religious donors give money to the suffering masses in impoverished nations with the stipulation that the money be used to convert those citizens to "my religion". Here the whole point is that the giving by capitalists is not done with the sole motive of helping others but with the tactic of executing a personal agenda, at least in part.
