== THE WAY BABA PREPARED FOR STRUGGLE ==

Namaskar,
We know, and Baba has told us again and again, that life is not always smooth. One's progress and movement is systaltic in nature - up and down. So there will always be highs and lows. Everyone will experience such patterns in their life.

This below Baba story is not just the recounting of a very devotional and tantric period in our AM history, but also a practical method for how we are to proceed in day to day life.

THOSE DAYS IN 1971 IN PATNA

Those pre-emergency days in 1971 in Patna, Baba was vigorously preparing everyone for the difficulties that lay ahead. He was teaching so many do's and don'ts and then checking those things as only a Sadguru can. The scene was both riveting and exciting, as well as full of love and bliss.

Baba, of course, did not say openly that the whole world would turn on Ananda Marga and that we would all be persecuted and put in jail. Only He hinted that there will be a time when the number of margiis will be few and Ananda Margiis will not be accepted etc. Baba was also telling margiis to start stocking extra food in the homes, schools, and jagrtis.

Hearing this though, no one was worried. We all knew that Baba was the Parama Purusa and we rightly felt that nothing could harm us. We heard Baba's gentle warnings about the future but at the same time we did not really listen.

It is just like if the weather is perfect outside - the sun is shining, there is a gentle breeze, and there is not a cloud in the sky - then if someone says that a cyclone is coming, few, if any, will take it seriously.

Same was the case with us back in 1971. Baba was there and that was enough. We could not think that such difficult days were coming. Trouble was around no doubt, but so was He and that was enough to satisfy us and think that everything would be fine.

HOW BABA LOVINGLY PREPARED US

In the Jamalpur days, Baba graciously gave yama and niyama for our conduct and dealing - for our betterment. In that phase He, of course, also delivered so many philosophical gems like Elementary Philosophy, Idea and Ideology, Ananda Sutram, and so much more. Our do's and don'ts in personal life though were essentially limited to yama and niyama.

Around 1971, Baba began systematically giving so many teachings related with our personal dealing and way of living - most notably 16 Points. Prior to that some wholetimers were still drinking tea etc, but in 1971 all that stopped.

No doubt, prior to 1971, some had gotten certain practices from Yogic Treatments so a few were doing fasting on occasion and / or wearing laungota etc. But in 1971, those practices and so many more became pervasive in our Marga and were made mandatory via 16 Points and other codes of conduct.

Many may remember that before 1971, in order to have Baba's darshan, then VSS and in-charges would ensure all had perfectly memorized the Supreme Command. One had to repeat it perfectly either in Hindi, Bengali, or English. Then and only then would they be allowed to enter the darshan hall or room.

But in 1971, that changed. Then everyone had to perfectly recite 16 Points in their exact order. That time Baba also began delivering so many discourses on various aspects of Sixteen Points.

SOME BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Thus it was in Patna that Baba graciously first checked our Sixteen Points in so many different ways to ensure that we were all moving and growing properly on the path. Reciting the mere list of 16 Points was not all that was expected - we also had to follow.

It went something like this.

In the 2nd half of 1971 after shifting the office from Ranchi to Patna due to extreme social tension and unrest, we would regularly arrive - almost daily - at Baba's Quarters or the jagrti for darshan.

AM was still growing at a good clip, but not at the booming rate as months earlier because the government and newspapers were releasing and printing so much false propaganda about Baba and the Marga.

In that dramatic era, we would all file in to see Baba and when there were 20 or 30 of us, then He would graciously take His seat and we would all be inside the walled Patna compound seated in an open area focused on Him. It was all quite beautiful and charming.

And as I say, those were the days when Baba has strictly checking 16 Points as He was well aware that the Emergency was looming eerily on the horizon.

BABA'S SPECIAL WAY OF CHECKING

In His divine manner, Baba would look around at the margiis present and openly ask us about our practices.

But it would be done in a very special way.

Baba would say, "Gopal, show us your shaoca manjusa. You have such a beautiful shaoca manjusa. It is very nice. Show it to us so everyone may see - after all this is one of our 16 Points."

Baba had intentionally called on Gopal because He knew that Gopal did not have a shaoca manjusa.

In response, in the course of this loving liila where Baba was watching out for the welfare of all, Gopal would feel a bit ashamed or humiliated or embarrassed, and internally understood that he would have to be more strict on the point of shaoca manjusa.

And in that way, all the other margiis present understood as well that they would have to be strict, lest they get called on in front of all.

Baba would do the same thing with the point of laungota. If anyone present was not wearing a laungota, then that was the person Baba would call upon.

Baba would say, "Oh, Chandra Mohan, I understand you are very sincere in wearing a laungota every day. Is that not so. Don't you always wear your laungota. Tell us."

Then everyone knew that Chandra Mohan was not wearing a laungota. Plus they all knew that if next time they did not wear one then they would get called on.

Once all the physical aspects were addressed in this way, from food to fasting to taking bath properly etc, Baba raised the standard to the psychic & psycho-spiritual planes. He would check to ensure all repeated Guru Mantra before entering the room and that everyone was doing sadhana - all lessons - as directed.

So by applying pressure, Baba was teaching and ensuring we were actively involved in 16 Points. None wanted to be pointed out so step by step, point by point, all began following. This was the way things were rolling those days. Baba was getting everyone prepared and ready.

And not only that, in His loving liila, Baba would harshly rebuke and scold in-charges and VSS for allowing margiis to enter without following 16 Points. So they in turn began vigilantly checking to ensure all margiis were wearing laungota, carrying shaocamanjusa, doing pracara and properly following all the various element of 16 Points.

By this way everyone became strong Ananda Margiis and could weather the storm that was about to come.

STILL RELEVANT TODAY

Now in this year of 2011, the same system applies. Sixteen Points will save us from all difficulties and keep us moving in the right direction.

Baba says, "For progress in entitative flow, one is to lead a pure life, a moralistic life, a life based on moral principles. Do not do anything bad. What is bad? Bad is that which depraves human existence. Follow a strict code of morality. Live a pure life, a neat and clean life. Be strict in 16 Points. What will happen? Your entitative flow will get purified and will be in parallelism with your psychic wave." (SS_12)

And here below Baba directly states that our strength and stamina will increase multi-fold by adhering to Sixteen Points.

Baba says, "The more rigidly you follow the 16 Points, the more your mental strength will increase. It will increase so much that it will be more powerful than the collective mental strength of 100,000 people. In a psychic clash they will have to concede victory to you. A person who is physically strong can fight against eight, ten or twenty people at
most, but no more than that. A psychically developed person, however, is able to fight against many more people. So you must endeavour to develop your psychic strength - this is your bounden duty. The more rigidly you follow the 16 Points, the more psychic strength you will acquire. It will not take you long." (AV-7)

Thus in the same way that 16 Points gave Wts and margiis the strength to manage and thrive during the Emergency, today also 16 Points will fortify us in all the ways needed to spread His teachings and gain success.

Let us also not forget that Baba is watching and those who follow His teachings of Sixteen Points will be graced more and more to proceed onwards. That is also His expressed guideline.

BABA'S BLESSING

By Baba's grace ours is not the path of preya (mundane pleasure), but rather the path of shreya (Supreme benevolence). Sixteen Points is the way forward. Our duty is to follow and make sure other margiis are also following. Then our Marga will be strong, on both the individual and collective level.

Baba says, "...In order to march ahead on the road of human welfare, we will have to strengthen ourselves in all the arena of life. The complete seeds of welfare in all the spheres – physical, mental, moral, social and spiritual – are embedded in the sixteen points. Hence be firm on the sixteen points." (A'nanda Va'nii #45)

Namaskar
Karun

Note 1: MANY OF THE 16 PT TEACHINGS WERE PRESENT ALREADY

Although Sixteen Points was formally given during the above time period in 1970-71, many of those teachings were already present in the form of various worker and margii conduct rules, Yogic Treatments, and other teachings. By giving 16 Points, Baba codified and explicitly listed all these rules and regulations into one concerted list.

Purport:

O' human being, behold! Ajana Pathik has come again on this dusty earth. The flood of effulgence has come. Through the medium of longing, You quench the thirst of the eyes. Look, the Lord of Effulgence has Himself come. All the minds and hearts which were crying in suffering and pain, are now dancing in joy. Because, He has come. He loves one and all, everyone. He has come here to remove the suffering, and establish dharma. Because of His advent, everything changed. The sweet breeze is blowing full of fragrance. On this dusty earth, Ajana Pathik has come...

One Should Always Remember

Baba says, "However little one's capacity might be, if one constantly remembers that Parama Purus'a is always with him, that they are in the closest contact with Parama Purus'a, they will be able to do everything. They are not as small as they think themselves to be. And as long as they remember this closest association with Him, they can do much more than ordinary human beings. When this idea becomes permanently established in their minds, they become great. This is why no one should be disappointed or depressed in any circumstances; let everyone constantly perform great deeds, remembering that the flow of their capacity is coming from Parama Purus'a, and thus they can do everything."  (AFPS-3, p. 62)

== FOR OPTIMAL HEALTH-- III ==

Namaskar,
As we all know fasting is special practice whereby one's entire system gets
cleansed and purified. Because by allowing the organs to rest and collect
the toxins, the body gets the opportunity to rejuvenate itself. And of
course, breaking the fast properly with a thorough cleansing process is an
indispensable feature of fasting-- otherwise much of the benefits are lost.

So by doing the whole fasting and breaking in a sincere and complete manner
then an innumerable amount of "health and wealth" is aroused in the human
structure such that the body and mind glisten with purity and lightness.

                BABA WATCHES FOR OUR WELFARE

That is why we all know that Baba Himself is very strict with all margiis
and acaryas on the point of fasting. He wants that we should derive all the
many benefits from this great practice. Indeed, in multiple ways He reminds us
that always He is watching. This following teaching is leading in that
exact manner.

Baba says, "Suppose, a gentleman is undergoing fasting, and secretly in a
closed room, he takes chocolate. 'No one will know, nobody will know.' But
it is not so. His unit cognition will know that he has taken chocolate. And
similarly, the Cosmic Father will know that in a particular room one unit
body took chocolate very secretly, and that unit body is still thinking,
that the fact that he took chocolate on a fast-day is not known to anybody.
It is known to everybody. Nothing is a secret." (AV-12)

Hence Baba is acutely aware of exactly what happens-- as well as what does
not happen-- on our each and every fasting day. And He wants that we
sincerely follow His guideline as this is for our welfare.

                       BABA POINTS OUT

That is why in dharma samiiksa and in all types of reporting sessions, Baba
used to point out sadhakas on the point of fasting in front of one and all.
And if one person got pointed out it was understood that if others are also
falling into this same category then they should also rectify themselves.
That was the spirit. It was not just that Baba was speaking to only one
individual on such occasions.

Some people would wonder why Baba was pointing out margiis or Wts in front
of the collective, as opposed to informing them individually. And surely
the reason for this is that Baba did not have the time to speak to each and
every individual on each and every particular point. So by highlighting a
particular sadhaka's mistake in public, then if 4 or 5 others were doing
the same wrongdoing then naturally they would get also alarmed. And the
feeling would come that they too should rectify themselves. As they
understood that Baba is very concerned and strict on this point.

Plus, another reason is that naming the defects on the public platform was
a good way of reminding one and all. Because day after day or every few
days if He was pointing out a different  margii or Wt on the point of
fasting, then it automatically became a reminder to all those present that
this was something important. So if anyone was attending the reporting for
an entire week or two week period, then numerous reminders they would get.

And invariably they would spread that idea to others who did not attend.

Here we should keep in ming that as Guru Baba was pointing out the defects
of disciples from the very beginning, not just in later years. From the Jamalpur
era up to the grand DMCs in the late 80's, Babe would point out, beat, and His
shower love. This was all done for our welfare. By this way we could grow and move on towards Suprem fulfillment. Baba is the dharma Guru and His special quality is to both love and punish.

Baba says, "The preceptor must also be nigraha (capable of inflicting punishment) and anugraha (capable of bestowing grace). One who punishes only or who bestows grace only is not an ideal preceptor." (ANIWL-9)

                    WHY POINT OUT IN PUBLIC

Hence overall there were at minimum two distinct reasons for pointing
people out in front of the collective: lack of time to speak to everyone on
an individual basis and by this way it was a good reminder to one and all.
Thus within a short period Baba could rectify and instill proper practices
within countless sadhakas within the entire Marga. Overall we can say it
was His special technique and blessing.

And surely every Margii and Wt will readily admit that Baba is very strict
on the point of fasting. And He wants that we should all be sincere on this
very point. As He tells us again and again in various ways that indeed He
is always watching our each and every action to ensure our welfare.

I hope others will also come forward and share their experiences on this
very topic.

                            BABA'S BLESSING

Here following is Baba's Blessing:

Baba says, "You boys and you girls do you realise why you were born? You
were born to do something to please Parama Purusa. Always move towards
Parama Purusa through your actions, through your thoughts, through your
contemplation, and your goal will be attained, your purpose in coming to
this world will be fulfilled." (SS-18)

Namaskar,
Satyanarayan Deva

                       OUR SANSKRIT NAMES

Baba says, "At the time of initiation or shortly afterwards, those who do not
have a Sanskrit name should be given one by the ácárya/á. The word deva should
be suffixed to the name...the more the usage of deva as a title, the better it
is. The Sanskrit name should be used in all worldly dealings." (Caryacarya-1)

BREAKING THE FAST ITSELF-- A "HOW TO" PROCESS

1. First mix 1/4 piece of lemon or lime with some salt in a dry container--
preferably a plastic or ceramic container, but not metal.

2. Then add 1/2 litre to 1 litre of warm water and stir.

3. The lemon salt water mixture should be distinctly salty to taste-- but
not overly salty.

4. If your mixture is not sufficiently salty then little by little more can
be added. And if really it is already too salty then simply dilute your
mixture by adding more warm water.

5. Then one should begin to drink this lemon salt water. Not in one gulp
per se, but in a series of comfortable sips and swallows over the course of
a few minutes, without bloating the stomach. But one should not take too
much time either.

6. After finishing that initial round of salty lemon water then one can
walk nearby for a minute or two-- either in the fresh air or indoors.

7. Plus you can gently stretch the upper body by raising the arms on the
inhale and then exhaling and gently bending to the side. And repeat by
bending to the opposite direction. This gently helps to hasten the
cleansing process.

8. Then as soon as one feels ready to again drink, then the next round of
lemon salt water should be taken. Note: It is important not to wait too
long in between rounds. As soon as the stomach feels comfortable one should
again drink.

9. And like this multiple rounds should be done of drinking lemon salt
water and then walking slowly. This process should be repeated until one
feels the need to go to the toilet. And overall upwards of 2-3 litres of
lemon salt water can be ingested in this way. (Note: But under no
circumstances should solid food be taken yet. Rather this will wreak havoc
on the system as fresh food will be sitting on top of waste material. So no
food should be taken at all until the entire system gets clear.)

10. By this process of drinking round after around, a strong urge will come
to go to the toilet-- within 1/2 hour to one hour, depending. And initially
when in the toilet a very strong smelling brown waste matter will be
released. And thereafter progressively more and more liquids will be
released via the rectum. This will also be brown at the beginning. But one
should not worry that they have been stricken with a severe case of
diarrhea. It is not like that. Rather this is the initial stage of cleaning
out the digestive track.

11. Once one has begun the process of defecating & clearing the stomach and
bowels. Then you can switch over from drinking a salty mixture and instead
begin taking pure fresh water without any salt. This fresh water will help
hydrate the body and will also aid in the cleansing process.

12. In this process of cleaning one might have to visit the toilet anywhere
between 3-5 times, or more. And one important thing to remember is that
never should the urge be suppressed and "held in". Rather as soon as the
impulse comes one should go straight to the toilet.

The waste material will go from brown and somewhat solid to being yellowish and
liquidy until finally being a completely clear liquid. And once completely clear
liquid comes then in this case one can feel assured that indeed the entire digestive
track has become clean-- including the intestines, colon, and stomach. Everything has
become perfectly clean.

14. And by this entire process of cleansing a very light and healthy
feeling will consume the body. And one will fell very happy, fresh, and
energetic.

15. Within ten to fifteen minutes a slight feeling of hunger will come. And
at that point one can eat 2-3 ripe bananas, depending on the size. But the
bananas should be soft and ripe-- not green and hard.

16. And then after taking a few bananas-- and do be careful not to overeat
and fill the stomach completely-- then after waiting 25 minutes it is
important to again drink some fresh water. This will help in digesting the
banana.

17. And thereafter when stronger hunger comes one should take some easily
digestible food-- like well-hydrated rice and vegetables, or whatever is
conveniently available in your area or locale. But neither strong food like
citrus fruit nor heavily spiced or oily food should be taken. These should
be avoided and instead more simple food should be eaten.

18. And throughout the day care should be taken to continue to drink fresh
water in small amounts, but not at the same time as eating. This will help
ensure the solid food gets digested properly and it will also keep the body
hydrated.

Attention: One should also keep in mind that breaking fast is a highly
individualized thing. Everyone should be gentle and listen to their own
body when undergoing this entire process.

                                  PRABHAT SAMGIITA

"Tumi a'ma'y hrdaya ma'jhe eso go priyo madhurata' ma'khi..."    (P.S. 747)

Purport:

Baba, please come in my heart and saturate my entire being with the
showering of Your sweetness, O' my dear most.
Baba please remove my all impurities and negative samskaras-- and
whatever other things I have that got accumulated over the ages. Please
inundate my entire existence with the showering of Your love and divine
grace.   Baba, this entire universe, these seven lokas, nothing is beyond Your
reach. Everything is within You. And because everything resides in You,
that is why You know all my merits and demerits-- whatever I have. By Your
Grace today I am surrendering whatever that is mine unto You. With the only
desire that You please look towards me with Your compassionate eye, eyes
full of karuna'. This wee-bit of grace I long from You.
Baba, since ages, since many lives, I have been crossing through the
negative path, path of dogma. But today by Your grace, this is the first
time in my entire life when You awakened my samvit and now I understood my
mistakes. And I rectified them by Your grace.
Baba, all my actions, my entire being, my whole heart, everything I
offer at Your lotus feet. I do not want to keep anything as my own from
henceforth onward. With this pointed mind I am doing sastaunga pranam to
You. Please accept it...

                        ROOT LANGUAGES

Baba says, "When a swift horse runs its hooves make a turtur sound. That
which makes a turtur sound as it moves is called turaga or turaunga or
turaungama (that is, "horse"). That animal which makes a kurkur sound as it
runs is called kuraga or kuraunga or kuraungama (that is, "deer"). In this
way human beings have created many word forms and verb forms to express
their mental ideas. This process of word formation is called "acoustic
derivation" and the original verbal roots in all the world's languages were
created in this way."
"The first word forms in all the world's languages were the original
verbal roots. By adding prefixes and suffixes many different words were
derived. Among the established languages of the world, mainly four can be
considered as the root languages. They are Vedic, Latin, Hebrew and old
Chinese. If one examines the derivation of the vocabulary of these
languages one will find that their method or process is identical. (Varn'a
Vijina'na, Disc 19, p. 270)

Baba

== BABA STORY: REPORTING SESSIONS ==

Namaskar,
Many may recall that in 1978, after the Jail Period, then by His fathomless
grace Baba used to check the Sixteen Points of various workers and Lft's
while taking report. Actually, this became His regular approach during all
reporting sessions. Because while this 'corrective style' transformed into
His grand program of Dharma Samiiksa ('79-80), even then this way of
reporting continued right up through 1990-- where He was regularly checking
how workers etc were following 16 Points, & especially the point of sadhana.

                              BABA'S DIVINE DECREE:

"ALL LESSONS OF SADHANA MUST BE DONE"

Once on one particular day while taking report from a supervisory worker
Baba suddenly became quite serious and demanded that a specific worker be
brought before Him. Right away that worker came forward and did sastaunga
pranam to Baba. Then GS Dada told the worker to give report. And as this
Dada began giving his report then Baba started pointing out and punishing
this worker for not properly following various aspects of 16 Points.
Specifically, Baba was telling that this worker is not practicing all the
lessons of sadhana.

That time many in attendance were feeling surprised that Baba was only
pointing out this Dada. Because those days a number of workers were not
properly doing all their lessons of sadhana. Due to their extreme busyness,
many were falling in this category. Yet here on this occasion in front of
all Baba was only pointing out and scolding just this one Dada. No one else
was getting punishment for this-- that day. Naturally, everyone was
wondering why this was going on in this fashion.

BABA'S PUNISHMENT IS HIS SPECIAL BLESSING

Thereafter it was found out that the worker being punished was previously
suffering from a serious disease and that since receiving punishment from
Baba, all signs and symptoms of that disease had completely disappeared.
This was the amazing development. By that way everyone understood that
Baba's punishment was in reality nothing but His special blessing on that
particular sadhaka. Because by that way the worker was permanently cured of
his ailment.

And, of course, side by side, everyone got the clear-cut message that it
was mandatory and very much needed to practice all the lessons of sadhana--
in each and every sitting. This was Baba's universal teaching that day. And
veritably speaking this was a regular theme in countless sessions of
reporting with Baba: That all sadhana lessons are to be done properly.

                           BABA'S LIILA

In this magical and unique way those reporting sessions were going on.
Where, by punishing workers, Baba was showering His divine grace yet
simultaneously He was giving an eternal teaching for all to follow. And
ultimately all we can really say is that Baba's way of giving punishment to
sadhakas is His divine liila since Baba is Parama Purusa and as human
beings we cannot perfectly explain how or why He was doing everything.

                 BABA'S PROVEN AND STANDARD APPROACH

But one thing is sure, that this was Baba's standard approach to take
report from workers and if their social service activities or sadhana was
not up to the proper standard, then Baba would reveal how that particular
wt was not following 16 points properly. And very commonly it was the case
that Baba would tell that the wt was not doing all the lessons of sadhana.
And that was the reason why the person could not get the necessary
inspiration or sufficient energy to fulfill his social service
responsibilities.

Because Baba was telling again and again that by doing all the lessons of
sadhana-- especially dhyana-- then one will always receive the requisite
strength and inspiration to fulfill all their duties in life and serve the
society.

This much we all understood from Baba's reporting style those days.

                     PRESENT DAY CIRCUMSTANCES

So today when we see our organisation in a crisis situation it can be
easily concluded that a major factor behind this downfall is that people,
and especially workers, are not properly following 16 points. Most notably
certain top Dadas are not correctly doing their sadhana-- either skipping
lessons entirely or doing them in a faulty or haphazard manner. Otherwise
what can be the cause of all this disarray and chaos in the upper echelons
of our organisation.

Consequently, when the standard of sadhana is down then everything goes in
he wrong direction-- both in individual and collective life. This is the
clear cut outcome and today we can see the poor results.

                         BABA'S BLESSING:

SIXTEEN POINTS BRINGS WELFARE IN ALL THE SPHERES

At the same time if Sixteen Points and sadhana again becomes a dominant
factor in anyone's life then automatically everything will become better
and better in each and every sphere of one's existence. In all regards, in
all circumstances, that sadhaka will be met with success-- on all the
levels from their personal careers to their dharma pracara activities etc.
Then their whole existence will grow and shine in a positive and sparkling
way. This is Baba's grand blessing and ultimate guarantee.

Baba says, "...In order to march ahead on the road of human welfare, we
will have to strengthen ourselves in all the arena of life. The complete
seeds of welfare in all the spheres-- physical, mental, moral, social and
spiritual-- are embedded in the sixteen points. Hence be firm on the
sixteen points." (A'nanda Va'nii, #45)

Namaskar,
Girish

Note 1:             SIXTEEN POINTS IS RIGHT EXERCISE

Here again Baba demonstrates that by doing sadhana properly and adhering to
His tenants of 16 Points, then by His grace one will gather the necessary
strength to do His work and become a perfect medium for carrying out His
divine mission.

Baba says, "What is the best way to strengthen the mind? The best and
proper way is to strictly observe the 16 Points. The more rigidly you
follow the 16 Points, the more your mental strength will increase. It will
increase so much that it will be more powerful than the collective mental
strength of 100,000 people. In a psychic clash they will have to concede
victory to you... So you must endeavour to develop your psychic strength -
this is your bounden duty. The more rigidly you follow the 16 Points, the
more psychic strength you will acquire. It will not take you long." (AV-7,
p.80)

                                 PRABHAT SAMGIITA

PS Intro: This is a neo-humanistic song as it expresses love and affection
for those shelterless, homeless, and downtrodden people. We know that Baba
has made songs which reflect all aspects of AM ideology. This song
expresses empathy and compassion towards the suffering humanity and
propagates neo-humanistic ideals. This is the unique quality of this song.

"A'siya'che sedin ogo a'shrayahiin..." (PS 1222)

Purport:

The golden era has come; sadavrata [1] has started. Now everywhere the
divine flow is spreading all around. In this human family, no one will be
downtrodden; no one will suffer. Those who are without shelter, I am
calling you. The day has come when His door has opened for you. By Baba's
causeless grace, He has come to save the suffering humanity-- to turn your
tears into smiles. It is His infinite compassion.  For those who have
neither food, nor clothing, nor shelter, everyone will be served. Now no
one need suffer from any want in this world.

In this golden, new era, no one in our human family needs to go under
the tree in search of shelter. Everyone will have their own hearth and
home-- their own abode. Nobody will be homeless. We are all kith and kin;
we are all one family; Parama Purusa is our Divine Father. Not a single
human being shall remain as an orphan or distressed any longer. Those dark
days are gone by His grace. All will equally receive His love and
affection. Everyone will get His sweet touch; everyone will feel His divine
blessing and infinite love.

By Baba's grace there will be plenty for one and all; no one need
undergo the pangs of hunger and thirst. The loud lamentations of the
suffering humanity will be gone forever. Everyone will have the opportunity
to live life in a new way; all will feel content in their heart and mind
and move towards Parama Purusa, the Goal. The cimmerian darkness of avidya'
maya will vanish forever. Now, by His grace, divinity has awakened in the
minds of human beings.
The golden dawn has descended on this earth. It is His grace; it is His
grace...

NOTES FOR PRABHAT SAMGIITA #1222:

[1] Sada'vrata: 'Sada' literally means 'always' as in to do every day;
'vrat' literally  means 'vow' as in to always remain committed to helping
others. So sada'vrata means always ready to serve whenever the opportunity
comes. It is not that if one did sadavrata on Monday then one need not to
do it on Tuesday. Always one is to be ready and willing to serve others.
Whatever those people need, then one must help them fulfill that need.
Hence helping poor and seeing them as expressions of Parama Purusa is
called sada'vrata. As we all know, our AM social service endeavours include
sada'vrata-- the mass distribution of food, clothing, medicine, and all
sorts of requirements and amenities.

Here in His below guideline Baba describes how sada'vrata is related with
our sadhana practice.

Baba says, "In the third stage of sa'dhana' sa'dhakas accepts the cognitive
faculty as their goal. They wish to advance along the spiritual path while
simultaneously serving the subtler expressions of Parama Purus'a. This is
the true dharma of human beings. The sada'vrata (mass feeding & clothing
distribution etc) which you organize comes within the scope of this
practice. While performing sa'dhana' in this stage the human mind attains a
greater proximity to Parama Purus'a and sees the entire universe as a
divine expression of Parama Purus'a. Through this realization one enjoys
pure unblemished bliss. When people served good food during sadavrata smile
happily, you feel inner joy." (APH-6)

[2] TRANSLATIONS OF PRABHA'T SAMGIITA #1222:

Here are the first two Bengali Bengali lines of this Prabhat Samgiita:

 A'siyeche sedin ogo a'shrayahiin
Tave tare ta'r dva'r khule geche, khuleche

And here below is a basic translation & fundamental idea of those lines:

O' my brothers and sisters, those who are without shelter,
the day has come when His door has opened for you.

So in the above stanza the bhakta is telling the humanity that no one will
be shelterless any longer. Parama Purusa is bringing all unto Him and
everyone will be served.

Now look how these very same lines were translated on one of our sanctioned
Prabha't Samgiita websites:

O' Lord, the one needing no shelter, the day has come when   for you their doors have opened.

Please excuse me, but by reading the above anyone can see how this latter
translation has gone a bit astray.

Here the entire point is that Prabhat Samgiita is Baba's divine gift to the
humanity, so we should be careful and diligent in its presentation.
Otherwise, we can see how it may get translated.

           Treatment For Hunch-Back and Stiffness

Baba says:
"When calcium builds up and gets deposited in the back it becomes hard.
That is why when people are very young then their backbone is quite
flexible but due to an accumulation of calcium over just a few years then
by the time they are teen-agers already their spinal column has become
stiff and rigid." (SC-8)

"Doing noakasana, utkata paschimottanasana, and shalabasana etc eliminates
the possibility of developing a hunched back. So those doing hard manual
labor that demands bending the back for extended periods of time should do
these aforementioned asanas on a regular basis. That will prevent them from
suffering from hunch-back in the future." (SC-8)
