SO MANY POSITIVE THINGS



Namaskar,

Our AMPS was built to do great things in this world - in this universe; and by Baba's divine grace today our organisation is rapidly advancing along the path of progress.
Certainly looking around and seeing the group-oriented conflicts etc, some may just think that our AMPS is riddled by chaos, factionalism, and lawlessness - and that there are no positive developments.

However, upon closer examination and more careful assessment, we can easily see that our Marga is actually a budding flower - getting ready to bloom into greatness.

By these below practical indicators and verifiable evidences, it becomes  apparent that our AMPS has made tremendous strides since 1990 - and that things are only getting better and better, day by day.
                               

POSITIVE ADVANCES MADE IN AMPS SINCE 1990

Before 1990, under Baba's direct physical guidance, our AMPS was one shining light bringing welfare to all.

Then for a few months & years our organisation fell into a bit of a quagmire: The main problem being that everyone passively presumed that those in the helm will guide us straight to glory. Living under that false assumption - and just depending on those top posted workers - a thick stagnancy settled into our AMPS.

Now, however, as we look around, that stagnancy is quickly dissipating and our AMPS is moving through a period of great revitalisation. Here is the proof.


RISE OF CONSCIOUSNESS

First off, everyone's awareness is on the rise and there is a stream of ideological consciousness amongst margiis and wts that was not present earlier. Currently there is active and on-going talk about key ideological issues: margii rights, the need to follow Baba's teachings such as Sixteen Points and Caryacarya, authenticity of published discourses, and about so many other burning and vital issues.

This has all brought about a heightened understanding of Ananda Marga ideology - a new level of awareness.


THE BIRTH OF IDEOLOGICAL AWARENESS IN ANANDA MARGA

Religions are essentially based on dogma where people are ordered to follow certain codes and rituals. They are indoctrinated into the tenet, “Don't use your brain.” That is the way religion works. Their followers blindly adhere to their edicts. Yet those same religious followers use their brains in other fields: Business, technology, science, schooling and colleges, competitions etc; but not in religion. Yet religion is full of dogma that chokes human progress and that is why it is very dangerous and deadly.

Ananda Marga is not a religion. Before 90 Baba was controlling everything. After all, Baba is Baba Parama Purusa; so whatever He was directing and telling was perfect. And when margiis and wts followed those orders then the outcome was very good. But after 1990 AM shifted gears and adopted the mode of a religion. Whatever the priests, rabbis, mullahs, or popes of Anada Marga told, then that was treated as the word of God. There was no need to consult Ananda Marga philosophy. Within a short period though, margiis started understanding they should not blindly follow their preachings. That is when the ideological renaissance started in Ananda Marga and there was more inquisitiveness about AM teachings. The strong desire to know what Baba told - what is right and wrong - came into the mind of sincere margiis and Wts. Since then tremendous progress began in Ananda Marga. This mode was not present earlier.

This change is not just an ordinary affair but an extraordinary development. It is by thinking and discussing about Ananda Marga ideology, and assimilating those ideas into our individual and collective consciousness, that the ideology ultimately gets implemented.


NO ROOM TO RUN AND HIDE

Between 1990 and 1995, the “mullahs” of Ananda Marga were thinking that, “We are everything - what we do everyone must follow.” Those top Dadas did much harm. They were committing sins in the field of publications and trying to befool margiis with their conniving tactics as if nothing was wrong and that they were following Baba’s order. They went to extremes to prove that regardless of any discourse Baba wants that it should be written as original Bengali. That era was so under-developed and primitive that even the vast majority of margiis believed those falsehoods that were propagated by Publications etc were okay and perfect.

But after some time the hypocrisy of Publications was unmasked. So a lot of progress happened. In Ananda Marga, in the field of Publications regarding the dogma that everything should be translated from the original Bengali, a sea of change happened. Margiis speak these day or not, but 75% of the margiis know that Baba’s books are not proper and should be made proper. The hypocrisy of Publications has been exposed. They have no room to run and hide. A big change has happened - a veritable revolution.

Those who were distorting Guru’s teachings are now scared to do so because margiis are alert. If anyone purposely alters Guru’s discourses then they are shamed. So those wrongdoers know they know they can no longer distort His guidelines and get away with it. Rather they will be caught and taken to task in full view of all margiis.


BECAUSE MARGIIS AND WTS ARE ALERT

Like this in Ananda Marga, on many fronts, there have been a plethora of positive changes and those will be discussed in further emails etc. Some are here enlisted here. So many other false things like dogmatic tiirthas, so-called mahaprayan, and Fake Ananda Vaniis etc are disappearing in the light of Ananda Marga ideology. As ideological awareness rises, those dogmas wane and ultimately become extinct.

So this dual approach of a rise of ideological consciousness and the obliteration of dogma is the first  benefit.


UNDERSTANDING WHO IS WHO

THROUGH THE LENS OF ANANDA MARGA IDEOLOGY

The second dramatic change is that now in our AMPS people are understanding 'who is who'. In 1991, it was thought that those in the helm were divine and could do no wrong. With that misconception so much cheating, distortion, and exploitation was going on.

Now margiis and field workers are no longer blinded by the colour of the dress or by stature of the post etc. These relative factors hold no water on their own. Now everyone can see who is who through the lens of Ananda Marga ideology.

That means those in Centre are being measured by their conduct, not their dress or post. And when group and factional interest is at a premium in the upper echelons of the organisation, margiis and general workers can understand the extent of the problem - and take steps to fix things.



EVALUATE ANYONE IS BY SEEING THEIR CONDUCT

NOT BY THEIR POST OR DRESS

Because now there is no longer an idle dependence on "a few high posted dadas". Instead, sadhakas are taking Baba's name and being led by His divine teachings. They no longer have blind faith in group leaders. And by this way the pathway to following Baba's divine ideology has been cleared. That is one great development. Now everyone realises that the way to evaluate anyone is by seeing their conduct - not by their post or dress.

Ananda Marga philosophy states, "Your ideal is represented by your conduct..." (1)

Any by that way - by understanding who is who and ensuring people follow the proper code of conduct, the ideology will get implemented.

Ananda Marga philosophy guides us, "Human beings cannot propagate a great ideology by their knowledge, intellect, or social status...they can only do it through their conduct." (2)


TREMENDOUS CHANGE SINCE 1990

Thus from the innermost seed vessel in the mind to our outer expression, there has been a monumental shift and significant changes in our AMPS. Now people realise that this is the time to follow ideology and not get misled by dogma.

Baba says, "When clouds collect around the pole-star and cover it, your duty will be to remove the clouds and follow the pole-star without caring to see where the clouds have gone." (3)

And by Baba's grace that is happening - everyone in AM is getting their vision fixed on the pole-star, on Baba.


GREAT PROGRESS IS GOING ON IN OUR ANANDA MARGA

Thus a key element why Baba's teachings are getting properly protected and instilled within the consciousness of Ananda Marga is because of sincere interest by margiis and wts to safeguard His teachings. And certainly the best way to safeguard such teachings is to follow them in individual life and implement them in the society. And this great process is going on in our Ananda Marga.


VERY POSITIVE DEVELOPMENT:

ANANDA MARGA IDEOLOGY HAS BEEN SAVED

Thus even though there are still group clash and infighting is going on, behind the scene something much, much deeper is happening. Everyone is learning Ananda Marga ideals, by His grace. Sadhakas are now putting philosophical understanding into working knowledge.

So, all in all, everything in our AMPS is moving in a remarkably positive direction and it is only a matter of time till all groupism and selfishness is gone from our Ananda Marga.

The main thing is that our AM ideology has been saved; it is well protected; and there is a growing awareness about Guru's true teachings. By that way it is sure that everything will be okay both in our organisation and in the society at large. Because the presence of ideology creates a positive flow in the mind and a stir in the society.

In contrast, those selfish parties that hold power and seem strong - either in the organisation or in the general society - will be pulled apart and rooted out since they lack a universal outlook


NEW LEADERSHIP IS ON THE WAY

Thus day by day things are moving ahead in a positive direction in our AMPS; so none should fall in the depths of frustration. Awareness is growing fast in our Ananda Marga and it will not be long till that positive development is reflected in all the facets of Ananda Marga life - including in a bright new leadership as well.

Now everyone realises that no group or subfaction is fit to rule. So many good people in our Marga are coming forward and one day theyw will dharmically lead our Marga. The era of groupism is fas coming to a close and new life is getting pumped into our Marga from the ground up. That will be reflected in our leadership as well. That day is soon to arrive.

Baba says, "Leadership is not imposed from above, rather it establishes itself through dedication, sincerity, ideological zeal, fighting spirit and all-round capacity. Leaders gradually acquire such capabilities -- step by step." (4)


THE LIFE OF A WARRIOR - CONSTANTLY FIGHT AGAINST EVILS

By Baba's grace we are building up that healthy AM society and will spread His divine teachings to all the four corners-- to every place in this universe.

Baba says, "Remember -- you have to serve humanity. You have to dedicate yourself to the cause of humanity as a whole. Your life is valuable; your time is all the more valuable. You should not waste a single moment. The task is glorious. The task is novel. Lead the life of a warrior and constantly fight against evils. You will be victorious. So march ahead!" (5)

We have to do many ideological teachings to propagate - until each and every person accepts Ananda Marga ideology our work is not finished.

“Remember, until every person in the universe accepts the Ananda Marga ideology, you have no opportunity to rest.” (6)


OPTIMISM IS OUR WAY

The great tide of ideology is coming forth in our Ananda Marga and with that rising tide the era of staticity is crumbling to dust. By His grace those who have assembled in His Marga and are upholding His divine teachings will spread the great ideology and bring welfare to every nook & corner of this universe. This is His guarantee. So our future is bright - assured.

Baba says, "Crisis is quite natural for something moving. Wherever there is movement, there is struggle...But you know, I am not a pessimist. I am always an optimist. And I want all my sons and daughters to be optimists. And I want them to struggle against this death signal of humanity, and come out successful."
"And I am sure that you boys and you girls must be optimists; and it is your duty to save humanity. And I hope you will be able to save humanity, because, just like me, you are also optimistic. You should know that great, or good, people are few in number, they are not many. They do not come within the scope of millions or billions. They are always few in number. And these few, they are the torchbearers of human society, they are the pioneers, they are the vanguards of human society. So it is your duty to save humanity. And those who are unable to shoulder their own bags and baggages -- their responsibilities are to be shouldered by you. You should remember that the life of a spiritual aspirant is a mission. One's entire life is a mission, one's entire existence is a mission. And your mission is -- what? To save humanity from this crisis. I hope you will be successful. And I not only hope, I am sure that you will be successful." (7)

Note 1: SINCERE MARGII INTEREST IN IDEOLOGY:

MARGIIS AND WTS SAFEGUARD HIS TEACHINGS

Here is one more proof about the uniquely positive scene these days.

All are certainly aware that in the past when any Taraka Brahma took advent on this earth then those teachings could not be protected. Lord Shiva's and Lord Krsna’s teachings were mostly lost or forgotten and replaced by dogmas. Thus society could not get full benefit of their auspicious advent. Because their divine guidelines could not be saved and propagated age after age. But this time around, His teachings are mostly in tact due to alertness and awareness of margiis and a lot of pracara work is going on about this.

"Dada Shivananda [a.k.a. Ac Samanvayananda Svt] left Baba and the AMPS organisation, and in a challenging display created his own separate organization, "Prema Marga". That time, Dadaji established his own office in the foothills of the Himalayas at Dehradun."

"Let us not forget that in those days, Baba was in jail. It was during those difficult times in Ananda Marga when maximum support was needed that Dada Samanvayanandji left and created his own organization to compete against Ananda Marga. The need of the hour was to stand firmly by Guru and raise the flag of Ananda Marga. Those days, so many margiis and acaryas withstood the onslaught and backlash of the negative forces, i.e. Mrs Indhira Gandhi's exploitative machine. Margiis and wts were forced into hiding, imprisoned, tortured, and humiliated. All the while Guru was in jail. No true Ananda Margii could ever think to leave in such a moment - never."

"Yet, in that critical moment, when Baba was in jail and workers margiis were also suffering, Dada Samanvayanandji left to enjoy his own self-created guru-ship, and establish his own separate organization: Prema Marga. So while dedicated Ananda Margiis stood by Guru, Dada Samanvayanandji fled to establish his own so-called glory. This is not the quality of a disciple, but rather a case of betrayal. Or what should we call it."



FURTHER REVIEW OF DADAJI'S APPROACH

When Guru was in jail then true Ananda Margiis bravely took a strong stand and faced a lot of trouble and suffering in various ways. We all have deep respect for them.

But what respect should one have for Dada Samanvayanandji when he betrayed Baba and left Him during that very crucial time when Baba was in jail. Then years and years after Baba was released, Dada Samanvayanandji painted his own black face with white oil paint and appeared before margiis around the mid of 1984 as a great saint, as if nobody knew about his hypocrisy and betrayal to Baba.

"In this calculated manner, Dadaji did not return to Ananda Marga in 1977 when Baba graciously pardoned and welcomed everyone. Nor, did Dada Samanavayananda return when Baba Himself was released from jail in August 1978. Weeks turned into months, and months turned into years."

"Ananda Marga was growing by leaps and bounds. Baba performed the grandest dharma samiiksa in the history of humanity. Ananda Marga was fast spreading all around the globe. The organization was growing in size exponentially. Still Dada Samanvayananda was nowhere to be seen. Dadaji was still leading the life as "guru" in his ashram. Time and again, Dadaji's friends like Aksarananda had pleaded with him to return, but to no avail."

"It was not until around 1984 or so, that Dada Samanvayananda showed up..."

"All in all, Dadaji was away from Ananda Marga for 11 years. When he was needed most to help in difficult times, he was entirely absent - just enjoying the high life as a self-appointed guru."

"Even worse, after that time, Dada Samanvayanandji never expressed repentance or remorse for what happened in those days."


When the good days of Ananda Marga came, Dadaji returned back because his fake guruship of Prema Marga was not as beneficial / enticing as posing as a great avadhuta in Ananda Marga and befooling margiis to enhance his prestige. Such was the extent of his hypocrisy.

Then after '90, Dadaji jumped into a very high post. Who will appreciate his hypocritical behavior. I don't think that any true margii and worker will appreciate Dadaji's manner.

As a brother we certainly love him, but he is not an example to follow.

In his later years, one ruling group made Dada Samanvayanandji their priest; and Dada Samanvayanandji moved all around the globe giving his sermons like the Pope of Rome. And he praised himself along with his so-called illustrious past. So he was shameless up to the very end. Never did he express an ounce of repentance for his betrayal and wrongdoing.



WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM DADAJI:

WHAT NOT TO DO

About hypocritical people Baba's guideline is very strong. Please read below.

Baba says "Hypocrites must not be tolerated." (1)

Baba says "Hypocrites are those who betray. Don't forgive till his nature is reformed. Immediate forgiveness is a special weakness of mind. It results in worse harm to society." (2)

"Sincerity is reflected in actions, not in words only. One who displays sincerity in words but not in actions is a hypocrite. You should not tolerate hypocrites." (3)

Everybody in this universe can forget Dada's back-stabbing to Marga Guru. But true margiis and Wt's cannot.

Not forgetting means, not following Dada Samanvayananda's negative example. No matter the circumstances one must stand with Guru and not drift away seeking glory elsewhere. Yet that is what Dadaji did. He left Baba and he left Ananda Marga.

As a brother we love him, yet as an acarya and disciple, his example is nothing but a black stain. None should fall into a similar demise. That is the learning we should take from his life on this earth: What not to do.



HOW A DISCIPLE SHOULD BE

Here below Baba uses the analogy of a pitcher of water to delineate who is a proper disciple.

  "The worst category [of disciples] are likened to pitchers placed inversely in a tub of water. Such pitchers contain water as long as they are kept in the tub, but as soon as they are taken out, all the water pours out. These disciples acquire spiritual knowledge when they are in close contact with the preceptor, but as soon as they are apart from the preceptor they forget all his teachings."

   "The best category of disciples are like pitchers positioned right side up. When such pitchers are put in a tub of water, there is water both inside them and all around them; and even when they are removed from the tub, they remain full to the brim with water. These disciples carefully preserve in the jewel caskets of their hearts whatever they learn from their preceptor." (4)

So Baba is very specific. The lowest grade of disciples immediately forget all they have learned from the Preceptor the moment they are separated from the Preceptor. They are like the pitch that is upside-down in the tub. Once of of the tub - once away from the preceptor - they forget everything.

In contrast, the best disciples always remember Sadguru's teachings always. They are like an upright pitcher - filled to the brim with Guru's guidelines. Nothing gets lost - ever. Always they keep His teachings near and dear to them. Such a disciple can never think to run off in the hour of need and create their own ashram.

All should consider which category Dada Samanvayananda falls in.



SEE WITH PROPER EYES

In the general society, people's quality, qualifications and attributions are measured on the grounds of superficial measures, but we do not follow such an approach in Ananda Marga.

(a) In present-day Indian Politics, brutality and hypocrisy is the criteria for gaining a high post. In the past it was not like that. There was hypocrisy but now criminal behaviour is the top-most qualification. This is a dogma.

(b) In general religious Indian psychology, the saffron robe has a lot of meaning. It gives deep respect. There is a religious teaching that "Don't see the merit and demerit of the person who is wearing saffron dress. One must think that person is great. Whoever is using that dress is God's representative. Don't see their character and behaviour." But all Margis know that this is one dogma.

(c) In the general Indian society, age is also one of the factors. White hair, white beard, wrinkled skin is one qualification. Even if that person is a hypocrite. This is also dogma.

(d) And in general capitalist society, money is the criteria to measure someone. In town, if you ask "who is most important", the answer will be that person who is the richest. Money is the main qualification. And this is also dogma.



CONDUCT IS THE MAIN PARAMETER IN ANANDA MARGA

In Ananda Marga all these above characteristics have no value, as they are all superficial parameters that have nothing to do with the person's behaviour and conduct. It is on this standard - i.e. conduct - that every sadhaka should evalauate Dada Shivananda / Samanvayananda. Indeed, history itself will evaluate Dadaji in this way.

"Actions and not logic establish one’s superiority." (5)

"Conduct is the principal factor in dharma.” Be a sadácárii, a person of good conduct, and you will surely attain Paramátman." (6)

"Your ideal is represented by your conduct. Your learning, your social or economic status have nothing to do with your ideal." (7)



HE CREATED HIS OWN PARALLEL BOOK OF SUTRAS

Here is one highly objectionable point that is completely related with this topic. As we all know Baba has graciously given Ananda Sutram as the seed teaching of Ananda Marga philosophy. Those sutras are eternal truths that perfectly outline His divine teachings and ideology. They are extraordinary and wholly unique. They come directly from Cosmic Mind and they cannot be imitated by anyone else. For any true disciple it is unthinkable to write a book of sutras that would in any way parallel, challenge, or undermine Ananda Sutram.

Yet that is exactly what Dada Samanvayanandji has done. He wrote his own separate book of sutras - titled Ananda Shatakam - which is distinct from Sadguru's teaching.

And in his book - Ananda Shatakam - Samanvayanandji is proclaiming that if his sutras are followed then one will achieve liberation.

Ac. Samanvayanandji wrote in his book Ananda Shatakam on p.131 last para "Bhagavat....Paraman Padinca..."

Then Dadaji explained: "Those who not only read but follow the instruction noted herein (of Ananda Shatakam) with interest and care, they will surely overcome the delusion of this world and cross the stormy ocean of living in this world." (p.131, Ananda Shatakam)

Thus Dadaji guaranteed liberation by following his personal teaching. Such is his audacity: To guarantee liberation and write a text that challenges the authority of Ananda Sutram.



JUST A COPY OF HINDU DOGMA: HANUMAN CHALISA

Actually, Dada Samanvayanandji's approach is nothing but an offshoot of Hindu dogma - the Hanuman Chalisa. The Hanuman Chalisa was written to impose and inject a fear complex into the general public. The aim was to force people to worship the god monkey, Hanuman.

To this end, the poet Tulsidaas wrote "Hanuman Chalisa'". The edict was made that by reciting the Hanuman Chalisa daily, one will attain liberation. And if anyone does not recite the Hanuman Chalisa they will suffer. If the dogmatic poet of the Hindu religion would not have injected the fear complex then surely nobody would have appreciated to worship the monkey.

Human psychology is that people like to believe or pray that some divine being in human form is their god - not some monkey. So it is the power of the fear complex of that poetry that misguided / forced Hindu people to chant every day the Hanuman chalisa hymn, means the monkey god eulogy.

Following is the stanza of that dogmatic monkey god hymm: 'Jo satbar...mahasukha hoi'. The meaning is that those who repeat those Hanuman Chalisas (eulogy of Hanuman monkey god) will get liberation and be free from all worldly problems, like money, matter, ghost etc.

So with fear Hindu dogmatic people are repeating this.

In the same way our Dada Samanvayanandji tried to impose his book Ananda Shatakam on margiis by creating a fear complex. It is obvious to all that Dada Samanvayananda did the same dogmatic technique as the dogmatic Hindu poet did.



MORE ABOUT THIS DOGMA

Certainly, those living in India know very well about the monkey god Hanuman but for overseas readers let me please tell something more. The god Hanuman belongs to the ape family. He has a long tail and his face is like a monkey. It is not even a human being; Hanuman is one monkey. That is why one name of the monkey is Hanuman. And Chalisa' means eulogy. Every Hindu dogmatic person is well aware of these things but for the benefit of overseas margiis it is meaningful to explain the matter in full.

However, the main point is that this dogma of the monkey god is deeply rooted in all fundamental Hindus' mind. And every day they must repeat it minimum one time - especially when they feel fear of ghost. The dogma is that by repeating the monkey god name, ghosts will not come and monkey god worshippers will ultimately reach the goal of liberation and all desires will be fulfilled. And those who disrespect this will themselves burn in hell fire. Because of this dogmatic belief, Hindu people are afraid and they are repeating the Hanuman Chalisa with deep reverence.

So Dada Samanvayanandji unfortunately also suffered from the attachment to Hindu dogma. Clearly Dada carried this dogma on his head - otherwise what was the need for him to write his own separate book of sutras, that goes totally contrary. Dadaji imposed one falsehood that if any margii will believe,respects, and chants his sloka then surely they will get liberation, as if there is no need of astaunga yoga sadhana. Only his Ananda Shatakam will work as the divine ship to across the ocean of maya.

Such is the audacity of Samanvayananda Dada.


FINAL THOUGHT & GUIDELINE

Here I close this letter with Baba's guideline: Ananda Marga acaryas must lead by their conduct. That alone is what qualifies them as an acarya. So those whose conduct is not good are not...

"Those who have the responsibility to show the path to others should be of superlative character with the most refined conduct. They and their followers must move constantly towards all-round development and shreya [ultimate spiritual attainment]. Persons who teach such well-regulated behaviour to others by their own conduct are called ácáryas." (8)

"An ácárya or ácáryá should always instruct by his or her exemplary actions and words."  (9)

Seeing what Didi has done, it is evident that there is a great need for fiscal transparency in organisational dealings. If this type of thing continues, AMPS will suffer a lot as no one will have the trust to donate anything to the organisation.

Baba has warned wts about the misuse of funds and black money.

"No worker can keep unaccounted money (black money) with him." (Wt Conduct: Six Additional Rules, pt# 1a)

"Each worker will separately maintain the clear account of receipt and expenditure of his personal allowance and organizational money." (Wt Conduct: Six Additional Rules, pt# 1b)

"Whenever supervisory worker so desires, the worker is to give the proper account of expenditure tallying with the cash at their disposal." (Wt Conduct: Six Additional Rules, pt# 1c)

"Each amount of collection should be deposited properly and drawn after submitting requisition.." (Wt Conduct: Six Additional Rules, pt# 1d)

Unfortunately, Didi Ananda Niitimaya has blatantly disregarded and contravened Baba's stated conduct rules regarding fiscal responsibility and black money. Only by adopting a policy of transparency will we be able to put a halt to these types of misdeeds. Only then with AMPS be able to regain the public trust, which is critically necessary for the survival of the organisation.

Note 1: BABA'S WARNING TO ALL DONORS

We should all pay heed to Baba's below guideline about tapah an serving others. If our donations do not reach the right person or party, then we ourselves are to be held accountable. If we fail to ensure that our donation is used to serve those in need, then that service or donation is meaningless. With a good heart many in the Marga wish to serve those in need, but unfortunately their efforts will be in vain if their donations do not reach suffering humanity. Verily those kind-hearted donors are responsible - in part - for this impropriety. That is Baba's warning.

Baba says, "Tapah devoid of knowledge is bound to be misused. The opportunists will misuse your energy by extracting work from you to serve their selfish ends, and at the same time this will deprive the real sufferers of their due services from you. A rich miser approaches you with a tale of woe and entreats you to give him relief. Being moved with pity, if you do what is needed to relieve him of his suffering, the very purpose of tapah will be defeated, as it is without any knowledge or reasoning. The end result of your service will be that the rich man whom you have served will become more miserly and more selfish and will, in the future, try to deceive in a greater way people who dedicate themselves to the service of humanity. Secondly, as you will, to some extent, know his inner motive, you will become mentally depressed and you will also develop a hostile attitude towards him. Therefore, while following the principle of tapah you should ascertain fully well whether the person you are going to serve, really needs your service. Only then should you engage yourself in service...Therefore, you will have to ascertain with discrimination where your responsibility lies and to what extent; otherwise all your time, energy and labour employed in tapah will be in vain...because in such cases you do not make the proper use of objects." LIKE ONE JACKAL

Just the other day, Didi Ananda Niitimaya emerged and declared on email to one and all that she is not guilty of any wrongdoing and that: "I will hang myself in front of public" if the allegations are true.

Little does she know that her claim of innocence is no different from one jackal that proclaims not to have eaten the cream in the kitchen, when the cream itself is all over its face.


DIDIJI'S PUBLIC LETTER

In her public email of 22 Aug 2012, Didi Ananda Niitimaya writes glowingly of her brother-in-law:

"My brother in law is a A class officer in State Bank of India in Bhavanipatna, Kalahandi Dist." (written by Didi Ananda Niitimaya, 22/08/12)

Such is the way in which this avadhutika speaks about her worldly relations and laokik family members.

However, Baba's given mandate is:

"No relationship should exist with worldly family." (32 Rules for Avadhutikas, point #9)

Yet Didi is openly telling all kinds of details about her laokik family to one and all on the email. Not only that, it is well known that she spends more time at her loakik and ancestral home than at her organisational posting. Didiji is the Medical Dpt Global in Ranchi, yet passes her days with her worldly family.

And when Didiji is doing "organisational work" then that time is spent sorting through donations intended for our universal human family, and diverting the best things to her laokik home. This is the common fact - you can confirm this with anyone in the Sambalpur area. They all know this Didiji is trustless. Didiji spends huge amounts of time in Ambika Nagar (Sambalpur) in the house of her brother-in-law, and everyone sees what she does, i.e. diverts edible oil, clothes, shoes, blankets, cash and more to her worldly family.


NOT A SANNYASI - WEDDED TO LAOKIK FAMILY

Even then Didi Ananda Niitimaya made a public denial of all this. Yet everyone knows that her main interest is for her laokik family, not society or the universal humanity. For wts, however, there should be but one family - the universal family, not any worldly family.

Baba says, "Householders have to care for two families whereas the renunciates have to care for only one. The householders’ two families are their own small family consisting of father, mother, brothers, sisters, husband or wife, sons, daughters, etc. and the larger human family, that is, the entire universe. The householders will have to maintain a balance between both these families...Sannyasins do not have a small family of their own – their family is the entire universe." (A Few Problems Solved - 4, Let History be Rewritten)

In her manner, Didi Ananda Niitimaya is talking as if she herself is family person not a sannyasi. See here again what she has written.

Indeed her thinking, speech, and outlook are just like a family person - not a sannyasi. In Didiji's subconscious mind she does not believe that she has only one family - the universal family. Rather Didi Ananda Niitimaya is 100% sentimentally attached with her mundane, worldly family. Didi's expression is itself proof that she wholeheartedly supports her worldly relations and willingly diverts funds to them.

She can deny this to her grave, but her status of mind is quite apparent. She is veritably wedded to her laokik relations. She can and will do anything and everything for them, at the cost of the sanctity of her wt ship. Such is her deep attachment for her laokik family. She is not a true Wt - not by any stretch of the imagination.


MORE ABOUT DIDIJI'S DENIAL & HELPING DIDIJI IMPROVE

Finally, when asked about her public denial, one close person replied, "Didi Ananda Niitimaya's denial is meaningless - this Didi has no shame - she can steal from under your nose and then deny it in front of your face - this is her way."

Let us remember that the aim here is to help Didi Ananda Niitimayaji improve. Our organisation needs committed cadres. So the goal then is for her to overcome her shortcomings and remain in the ranks, and not behave as a social deviant. It will be the best news if Didiji is able to make the shift.

Note 1: NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT

The aforementioned case is not an isolated incident - many more Wts are involved in similar financial messes. Gradually news of these other cases will be presented for public knowledge and review. But, at the same time, we should all remember not all wholetimers are thieves. There are many great Dadas and Didis who are doing dharmic work. With their strong efforts, many aspects and wings of the organisation are moving ahead in a very positive manner. Really it is just a comparatively few number of cheating wts that are hiding under the virtue of those good wts. Step by step, each of these fraudulent wts needs to be uncovered for all to see. This will be done in a systematic fashion to help bring integrity and honesty back as the pillars of AMPS life.

As others have recounted, the theft of Seema Goenka's large donation of oil by Didi Ananda Niitimaya is not an isolated incident.


WHY DIDI ANANDA NIITIMAYA WEARS OLD, BROKEN CHAPELS

Please be aware of other schemes carried out by this didi. Here is one such tactic:

First, Didi Ananda Niitimaya sets aside her good chapels (sandals) and puts on old broken ones and goes to a margii's house. Upon seeing the horrible condition of Didiji's chapels, those margiis feel they must do something. In their heart they feel very badly that a respected avadhutika does not have proper shoes. The family is not aware of Didu's corrupt manner. So they insist on taking Didi to the market for new chapels. And they purchase them for her - but all along Didi already had new chapels hidden in her storage place etc.

But her scheming does not end there.

Next Didi goes to another margii's house - again wearing those old chapels!! This family also is heart-broken seeing Didi's condition. So they give her money to purchase new chapels when she goes to the market. Didi accepts their financial contribution and readies to visit yet another margii family wearing those same old chapels.

In this way, Didi exploits the margiis sentiment and gathers a stock of both new chapels and money. What does she do with those new chapels and financial donations? Didi Ananda Niitimaya sends them to her laokik family. Or if she has collected a whole, big bag of chapels she will sell them on the street and send the money to her worldly relations.

Here the main idea is that the majority of what she collects, she diverts to her laokik family. Didi rarely uses those donations for Ananda Marga service projects. The bulk of those collected items are either sold for a profit or given to her birth family.


HOW DIDI DOES THIS WITH CLOTHING TOO

Even then, that is not all. Just like the tactic she uses with for the chapels, Didiji does a similar maneuver with her clothing and garments. She hides her good clothes and intentionally wears tattered and torn gowns when she visits margiis; margiis are moved by seeing the poor condition of her dress; and they give her money to order new clothes. Why do they give her money only and not new clothes? Because ready-made clothes for our Wts are not available in the store. The Wt uniform is not commonly made; those garments are not mass-produced and sold in stores. Rather they have to special order everything and have it made. By this way, in the name of buying new clothes, Didi Ananda Niitimaya collects funds - all of which she sends to her laokik family.

So this is the way Didi schemes - and sometimes she gets caught as well, but she has no such conscience to care.


SEE WHAT UNFOLDS AT DMS TIME

Sometimes those margiis see Didi at DMS wearing those same old chapels and dress. They inquire about this. They say, "Didiji, why are you still wearning those old chapels - what happened to those new chapels that we bought for you?" Didi Ananda Niitimaya responds by, "Unfortunately, I lost those new chapels while traveling on the train." This is one type of common excuse that she gives - but of course it is a lie.

Because the margiis understand the truth of the matter when they see Didi's laokik family moving around DMS with the new chapels which they themselves had purchased for Didi. Needless to say, they feel betrayed and cheated. Because they donated their hard-earned money to someone they thought was wholeheartedly dedicated to Baba's work. With that devotional sentiment they gave Didi money and new shoes etc. So when they see Didiji's laokik family using those donated items, it is quite disheartening.

One family remarked, "Didiji came to our house twice for chapels. We got her new chapels on both occasions. Later on we saw her [Didi Ananda Niitimaya's] laokik family wearing those shoes. We really feel as though we were violated - it is a distinct breach of trust."

Even then, with her thick skin, Didi Ananda Niitimaya continues on her course - never caring what others think or say.


WRAP-UP

So this is the way Didi Ananda Niitimaya carries out her schemes and this is the way she gets caught as well. But she never feels shamed or repentant. Rather she does not care at all when margiis find out; only she looks for other unsuspecting margiis to befool next time. That is her mentality and modus operendii.

"Diidii Ananda Niitimaya receives all those "supplies", i.e. those donated goods: (winter clothing, blankets, shoes, medicine, silverware / utensils, household items etc). Then she orders her various junior Diidiis to repack them into various bundles. Then they all load everything up onto the train and Diidii herself rides along with all that cargo to her laokik home. She then distributes that booty amongst her entire extended family: close relations plus cousins, cousin-brothers, aunts, nieces, and in-laws. They "gobble-up" all those donations. Those goods were meant for our acaryas and social service projects etc, yet it all gets routed to Diidiiji's ancestral home. This is the way it works. And when various Dadas visit the area, they see all those supplies being used there in the home."
 


REAL DAREDEVIL

It is remarkable that Diidii Ananda Niitimaya does not even feel the need to hide or conceal what she is doing. These junior workers are aware about what is going on. Ananda Niitimaya is quite blunt about her plans. She has the mind-set of a veritable daredevil. Similarly, Diidiiji absolutely revels in her role. She boldly delights in the idea of diverting hundreds of kilograms of donations to her laokika home. So that is the the inside story about the many donations given to some of the Diidiis. Those donations get diverted to Ananda Niitimaya's laokik home and distributed amongst her extended family. Diidiiji either sends those blankets, woolen garments, and other products to her laokika family, or she sells those things and gives the money to her laokika family members. In either case, it is sheer duplicity and thievery.

Good margiis work hard to earn extra so they can donate to our service projects and contribute to the well-being of sannyasinii Diidiis who work in their field; yet Ananda Niitimaya unabashedly hijacks those donations.

As an acarya, Ananda Niitimaya is supposed to be concerned with the greater society; yet, by her actions, it is shown how she only cares for her own blood relations. In the name of Ananda Marga and serving universal humanity, she collects all kinds of goods and supplies, and then she funnels all those supplies to her worldly relatives. Those whom she is supposed to care about she ignores (i.e. the greater society), and those she is not supposed to have contact with, she cares for their every need and desire (i.e. her laokik family). This is the story of Niiitmaya's worker life.

In case there was any doubt or confusion in anyone's mind, let us remember that our respected wholetimers of Ananda Marga have dedicated themselves to a high ideal - in service to Gurudev and suffering humanity. Their lives are for the welfare of others. So none should think that our workers can be thought of as selfish corporate executives or business employees who reap profits and benefits and use those funds for their selfish ends. In materialistic enterprises, people do like that. That is the common way. But as we know our Ananda Marga is a social service organisation. Our wts are not "on salary" and all donations are to be used for helping those in need. Workers are not to abscond with money & goods designated for service projects. Funneling those resources to their worldly families breaches their sannyasi vow as well as the code of asteya (non-stealing). So we can say it is a double sin: First, our workers are not to be selfishly hoarding wealth and stealing from society; second, our esteemed wt acaryas are not to maintain contact with their laokik family.

I have been following the account of this GS financial scam and am astonished by the sums of money involved - and the way the whole thing was handled.

What a blunder! GS Dada Citsvarupananda took loans from many, many margiis & Wts and lost everybody's money; then GS told them he got cheated. Who knows what really happened. All that can be said is that such type of Dada is so greedy.

When under the spell of greed - the brain itself does not function - and in that way he lost all that money. 


TWO WAYS OF BEING GREEDY

It could be that GS Dada Citsvarupananda is greedy - in one of two ways:

(A) Some say he was enticed by getting 25 crores rupees so he foolishly gave large amounts of money to an untrusted party in hopes of getting a big return. That is one form of greed.

(B) Or, others say all along GS had the plan to keep that money in his own pocket. That is to say, he took a loan of lakhs and lakhs of rupees from generous margiis and Wts with the sole intention of duping them and keeping the money for himself. Such a plan is also founded in greed.

In either case, the mind-set is not proper and certainly not befitting of an acarya - let alone the organisational head, i.e. GS Dada. When motivated by greed, then these types of scandals are common - unavoidable.


BABA'S WARNING ON GREED

That is why Baba has delivered a stern warning about the dangerous and sinful nature of greed.

Baba says, "Whether in the material world or in the intellectual world, the predominant tendency that makes today’s people, both individually and collectively, rush headlong without control, is the instinct of greed. The propensity of greed, if not controlled by rationality, or benevolent intellect, or spiritual practices, will lead to premature death. Nothing can save human beings from this. This instinct of greed has brought the present humanity to such a state that people no longer consider anything as sinful. Rather, they consider the “sin psychology” as a mental weakness, and the worst of sins are being glorified as the height of intellect, not only indirectly, but also openly. The omniscient Shiva observed the rampant expansion of materialism and its dangerous consequences and clearly stated, Lobhah pápasya hetubhútah [“Greed is the root cause of all sins”]." (Namah Shivaya Shantaya, Shivas Teachings – 1 (continued), Disc: 10)


OTHERS CHEATED BY GS DADA

Along with the many who already have been mentioned in previous letters, here are more who have been burned by this GS financial scandal.

Dada Mantracaetanyananda (RS Ranchi) was also cheated by GS. Dadaji gave 20,000 rupees to GS Citsvarupananda, yet RS Dada is not getting that money back. Although GS Dada has assured him that, "So long as you keep quiet, I will pay you back. But if you complain, or create any commotion, or talk about this, then I will not pay you back." That is the way GS Dada is handling the matter, at present.

Not only that, but Puna DSL also loaned GS Dada 25,000 rupees, and Didiji has not seen that money since. Who knows when Didiji will be paid back...if ever.

It seems that GS dada did not spare anyone - neither Dadas, nor Didis, nor so many margiis. All became victims of GS Dada's money scam.

This below letter is true. The oil cans were lifted to Sambalpur from Jharsuguda railway station. Nitimaya gave one oil can to Rudradevananda and the other can was given to her brother-in-law. She is justifying her action with several logic. She is a frequent visitor of Rudradevananda and stays with him. Where she is now? She is now  in Ambika Nagar ( Sambalpur ) in the house of her brother-in-law. Instead of doing organisational works, reporting, R D S etc she stays here in her brother-in-law's house.

Yes brother. According to wt didis she is the most cruel woman in Avdhutika dress. Didis don't regard her as a didi. Nitimaya spends her most of time in her brother-in-law's house, no interest she has in missionary works of Baba and Marga. It is suffice to say she is always with the deserter ex wts.

This is one important incident which recently transpired. We should all think how this should be addressed.


HOW SHRIMATI SEEMA GOENKA'S OIL WAS SECRETLY "RE-ROUTED"

Shriimati Seema Goenka of Tade Pade Gudam (A.P.) generously donated a huge container of cooking oil to Centre via the DSL Diidii of Rajmundari.

Seema Goenka kindey allotted that oil for didis camps etc. But Avadhutika Ananda Nitimaya Acarya interceded and instructed that DSL Diidii to bring that oil directly to Jhar Sugura where a margii would meet her. When DSL Diidii arrived at the station in Jhar Sugura, she was surprised to see that that Niitimaya's laokik brother-in-law (Diidiiji's laokik sister's husband) was there to receive the cargo and unload the oil container. That brother-in-law took away that huge vat of oil along with other cargo that was collected for Ananda Marga service projects etc, and he kept it for his laokik family.

The kind donor of the edible oil, Shrimati Seema of Tade Pade Gudam, has no idea about any of this. Indeed, at this very moment, she probably thinks that the oil she generously donated was used to feed all the wts and participants at the camps, RDS, etc. She does not know that her donation was hijacked and redirected to the laokika family of Ananda Niitimaya. Rather Seema Goenka thinks it was used by all Diidiis in the camp for their enjoyment. But the oil reached somewhere else. When all the Diidiis reached in RDS etc, then Ananda Niitimaya told them that there is no food and that they needed to go beg in the town and bring something eat.


PLEASE FORWARD OR INFORM GOENKA FAMILY

So this is the tragic tale of how Diidiiji Ananda Niitimaya stole the oil donated by Srmati Seema Goenka and how Ananda Niitimaya furthermore mistreated her junior workers by depriving them of food.

Anyone who reads this, please forward this email and the entire Goenka family should be informed as well.

The above account about stealing Seema Goenka's donated oil is, unfortunately, not an isolated incident with this Diidii.

Avadhutika Ananda Niitimaya Acarya is a central worker and I know first-hand how she has her own special plan and strategy with regards to collecting donations. She orders her junior Diidiis to collect goods from their posting areas and respective fields. Ananda Niitimaya arms them with this advice, "If you ask for large amounts of money then potential donors (margiis, sympathizers, and the public) become skeptical, whereas if you ask for material goods like food or clothing etc, then they are very generous. Then they feel more confident that their donation is being used to help the needy." This is Diidiiji's keen approach and she commands all her junior Diidiis to do like this.

Accordingly, her junior workers collect large amounts of goods from margiis and citizens in their area, and then when it is time for reporting or Wt camps and DMS, they make the long journey to centre - carrying all those goods with them.

Once they arrive in centre, Diidii Ananda Niitimaya receives all those "supplies", i.e. those donated goods: (winter clothing, blankets, shoes, medicine, silverware / utensils, household items etc). Then she orders her various junior Diidiis to repack them into various bundles. Then they all load everything up onto the train and Diidii herself rides along with all that cargo to her laokik home. She then distributes that booty amongst her entire extended family: close relations plus cousins, cousin-brothers, aunts, nieces, and in-laws. They "gobble-up" all those donations. Those goods were meant for our acaryas and social service projects etc, yet it all gets routed to Diidiiji's ancestral home. This is the way it works. And when various Dadas visit the area, they see all those supplies being used there in the home.

Here is one more incident:

On a recent occasion, margiis donated 50 blankets to be distributed among those Wts who did not have much. But Diidii Ananda Niitimaya immediately capitalised on the situation, and had all those blankets sent to her laokika home. When those diidiis who did not have blankets approached Diidii Ananda Niitimaya about having a blanket, she told them to go to town and beg for blankets.

And there are many more accounts of this nature with this Diidii, unfortunately.


BABA'S TEACHING ON TAPAH

We should all pay heed to Baba's below guideline about tapah an serving others. If our donations do not reach the right person or party, then we ourselves are to be held accountable. If we fail to ensure that our donation is used to serve those in need, then that service or donation is meaningless. With a good heart Srimati Seema Goenka wished to serve needy Wt didis, but unfortunately all her efforts were in vain. Please read Baba's below warning.

Baba says, "Tapah devoid of knowledge is bound to be misused. The opportunists will misuse your energy by extracting work from you to serve their selfish ends, and at the same time this will deprive the real sufferers of their due services from you. A rich miser approaches you with a tale of woe and entreats you to give him relief. Being moved with pity, if you do what is needed to relieve him of his suffering, the very purpose of tapah will be defeated, as it is without any knowledge or reasoning. The end result of your service will be that the rich man whom you have served will become more miserly and more selfish and will, in the future, try to deceive in a greater way people who dedicate themselves to the service of humanity. Secondly, as you will, to some extent, know his inner motive, you will become mentally depressed and you will also develop a hostile attitude towards him. Therefore, while following the principle of tapah you should ascertain fully well whether the person you are going to serve, really needs your service. Only then should you engage yourself in service...Therefore, you will have to ascertain with discrimination where your responsibility lies and to what extent; otherwise all your time, energy and labour employed in tapah will be in vain...because in such cases you do not make the proper use of objects." (A Guide to Human Conduct, Tapah Chapter)
