Namaskar, Just recently the power-seeking EC (Effecting Change) camp held their weekend confernece and global meeting in Maharashtra. This below letter is based on the outcomes and resolutions of their gathering.

FLOWERY THEME OF THE DAY

We have now entered the era where all kinds of walks of life are coming forward with a loud trumpet-bugle and a big blow of the horn to publicly announce that they are 'the great dharmikas' and they have come to 'save the day'. To attract the masses, such opportunists, like the EC (Effecting Change) camp and various ACB members, boldly proclaim that from today they are not going to tolerate any groupist dealings: Everything must be "ideological". This type of flowery talk they give. As if all the atrocities of groupism started just now-- just today. When in fact all the dirty injustices of extreme factionalism have been rampant since 1990. And what these EC fellows fail to say, what they are unable to hide is that they themselves are the very ones who for years and years were the hands and feet of those various group leaders. Such EC cronies themselves for years and years meekly kissed up to the factional powers in order to get a piece of the pie, i.e. post. But now that the tables have turned-- i.e. now that the reputation of those group leaders is like mud-- these EC opportunist types have switched their side and are now suddenly posing as the kings of dharma and making high assertions like "no more groupism" and "ideology is tops". These have become the fashion phrases of the day for such type of opportunists.

JUST A POLITICAL PLOY NOT A TRANSFORMATION FROM WITHIN

A few sadhakas may be naively thinking that those EC puppets really underwent a dramatic change within and now they are really the flagbearers of justice and nobility etc. But here Baba cautions us about such chameleons like EC who constantly shift their position for their own political gain. Such persons do not undergo a real reversal inside. Their heart does not change so easily, just their political strategy switches. This is Baba's warning. Baba says, "There may be some people who will consider this change of sentimental strategy to be a natural process of evolution, but in fact it is not evolution but a metamorphosis of strategy. Evolution does not take place so quickly nor so easily." (NH-LOI: Disc 10)

VACUUM IS PRESENT

Amidst all this scheming, one of the main circumstances is that at present in our Marga there is a switchover going on. There is an opening at the top of the structural pyramid. A time of change is in the air and a big transition is happening: The old ideas of groupism etc are being thrown out by the common people-- by margiis around the globe. So now a variety of opportunists like EC are colouring themselves differently and vying to fill the gap to grab the power. Here Baba is warning us about this very circumstance. Baba says, "There is an ideological vacuum... it will be filled up in a short time. This vacuum has to be immediately filled with a strong guiding and controlling force. You should fill it with your intellectuo-intuitional strength. If you sit idle some other demonic non-spiritual theories can become active and occupy that vacuum." (PNS-18) So in His above teaching, Baba is warning us that if dedicated margiis do not come forward then another factional tribe will fill that spot. Previously there was the switchover from B to H, from Sarvatmananda to Rudrananda. And now, if we are not careful, the EC bandits-- who are really nothing more than the puppets of Sarvatmananda-- will converge on scene. Indeed already they are doing so.

THE EC FACTION CONVENES FOR A HOLIDAY PROCLAIM THEMSELVES AS CHAMPIONS OF DHARMA

To gain momentum and garner support for their groupist ploy, the EC Parade took a holiday out to a delightful hill station. That is, last weekend (April 21-23) they had their premier get together in picturesque Lonavla-- situated about 60 km from Pune (110 km from Mumbai on the Mumbai-Pune Highway). In total they had around 90 attendees from 7 states of India, plus a couple overseas were also present. As you might have guessed, at their fancy retreat site they sat at round tables, ate tasty treats, and made their grand plan to revolutionize AM, placing themselves at the top, posing as being the great benefactors of all. And in their grandios manner they delivered their sermon of dharma:

"The appeal is being made to all WTs and margiis that they should develop moral courage to stand for the ideological values." (Point #6 of the recent EC Resolutions)

Here above the top dogs of the EC forum like Dr. Jitendra Singh are placing a call to everyone: All should follow in EC's courageous footsteps and follow dharma. So see their haughtiness and arrogance-- when in actuality their proclamation about dharma is nothing but a farce. Because all are aware that for years and years to keep his image high and mighty Dr. Jitendra Singh was a goody-goody lackey for Sarvatmanandji and Rudranandji. Those days Dr. Jitendra Singh did not make a peep about any injustice. He was aware that BP rights were being dismantled and scriptural distortions were being executed etc, but for those entire 16 years the 'great dharmika' Dr. Jitendra Singh was as well-behaved and quiet as a mouse-- he kept mum out of fear that he would lose his chair and respect. But now-- suddenly-- when the winds have changed, the EC cronies led by Dr. Jitendra Singh, among others, are standing on their mountain of fake courage and proudly espousing the glories of dharma and boldly condemning the evils of groupism. Now that it is in vogue to speak like this. But about their own black history of the past 16 years, they keep absolutely mum-- secretly hoping that no one is looking. Indeed they do not express one iota of repentance about that.

TWO SUB-PLOTS FROM THEIR HOLIDAY RETREAT

There are at minimum two more sub-plots from the recent EC gathering in beautiful Lonavla. 1. To make it look like they have lots of followers and supporters etc, they made a blanket invitation to everyone to 'Come and Enjoy'. And not only that, Dr. Jitendra Singh-- rented out comfy guest hotel suites for all attendees and he paid 100% of everyone's food and lodging. So just as various crooked politicians and conniving capitalists do this very trick to make a show of support, similarly the EC team borrowed this page from their playbook. And they paid for everyone to boost their following. At the same time no should get befooled and think that Dr. Jitendra Singh is generous in the wallet-- never. Because with his overseas millions and Australian bank accounts etc, for him to spend a few Indian rupees for hotels and food is a paltry amount for him. So he did it-- all to enhance his prestige etc. 2. The second point of note is that at the culmination of this holiday retreat, EC unveiled their sporty new name: 'EPC', meaning 'Effecting Progressive Change'. So either they were not progressive earlier or now they are attempting to befool others that they have become progressive. Anyway it is all for show-- what more need to be said.

SOME MORE THINGS ABOUT THEIR RESOLUTIONS

While their list of resolutions is somewhat long-- 21 points total-- the whole thing reads as if EC, excuse me E-P-C, is already the embodiment of dharma and everyone else needs to catch up to their great pace. But all along they were the yes-men and foot soldiers to so many groupist injustices. And by following the orders of Sarvatmanandji or Rudranandji, they would shut the mouth of any margii who tried to oppose those wrong-doings. In this horrendous way, these EC scoundrels victimised so many innocent margiis. And still today they are not coming forward to admit their mistake. Another outcome of their EC conference is that they have opted to hold these holiday meetings 3-4 times a year; AND, they plan to send their resolutions to the Purodha Board and have a sitting with them about the resolutions in the future. But anyone with any sense knows full well that it will be a cold day in hell before the Purodha Board sits down with EPC t o discuss their resolutions. That means it will never happen; just EPC is living in their dreamland. By reviewing this entire matter it becomes more and more evident that the EPC people are nothing but a bunch of jackals posing as lions. They have not an ounce of courage or bravery inside. Just they are howling political opportunists.

BABA'S WARNING

Here is Baba's strict warning about EC / EPC type of people. Baba says, "Those who are intentionally misleading common people should be exposed so that they do not get any further scope to exploit the innocent masses." (PNS-15) Thus everyone should be alert; we must not allow any in AM to get duped by the false glory of the EC or EPC or whatever they claim themselves to be. Because, after all, the so-called leaders of the EC are nothing but the pawns of Sarvatmanandji in the wrestling match against the crooked Rudrananda. All are just hungry for power. There is nothing ideological in their dealing.

BABA'S BLESSING

By Baba's divine grace those who truly follow His guidelines are the real benefactors of society-- and they alone will lead the humanity ahead. Baba says, "Those who move along this path [of true spirituality] make their lives glorious and effulgent, and their sweet radiance illumines and glorifies all other minds in this harmonious universe...On these people alone can all of humanity rely. Note 1: ONE OTHER RIDICULOUS RESOLUTION

The EC / EPC faction ridiculously thinks that by collecting all the various groupist camps and making one big pow-wow gathering then unity will be achieved. This is their deluded vision. Here Baba guides us that when the dogmatic religions of groups get together then they cannot create unity. Baba says, Question: "How far is the unification of all religions possible?" "Answer: The question of the unification of religions does not arise." (TK-1, Q & A #49) So just as bringing all the dogmatic religions under one roof will not lead to the establishment of unity or dharma, similarly bringing all the poisonous groups together will not have a righteous outcome. Unity cannot be achieve in this way. It is just like if one were to bring patients together who are suffering from various diseases like AIDS, Cancer, Syphilis, Tuberculosis, Malaria. Then exposing those sick patients to each other will not cure them. That will not make them disease-free. Rather they will get more sick and suffer from new infections and ultimately die a horrible death. Likewise bringing together all the groupist factions will not bring any positive result--it will just lead to more groupism and more splintering. The diseases of groupism will multiply. So this is yet another ludicrous assessment by the EC. Ultimately by seeing their stated resolutions perhaps we should just say that EC stands for 'Endless Chaos'-- nothing more. Their faulty ways will never bring any positive result. Only more and more groupism.

== NEGATIVE SUPPORT ==

Namaskar, Our AMPS is in such a tumultuous state: Ever since 1990 one or another factional group is temporarily "emerging as victor", or seemingly so. As bad as H and B groups and their sub-factions are, currently one other upstart-- known as EC (Effecting Change)-- is stretching its neck and trying to pull ahead. So we should all take a closer look at how they are moving.

EBBS AND FLOW OF POLITICAL LIFE

Everybody is well aware that politics has its own peculiar way of working. Votes and support are garnered in various ways. One such phenomenon is known as negative support or 'the negative vote'. Surely we have all seen it. This type of vote occurs when the people are totally fed up with one particular party or candidate. Then in a show of disgust and disdain for that party the people cast their vote for anyone opposing that party in the next election. In the past, this happened in India in 1977 when the people became totally infuriated with Indira Gandhi's torturous regime. Then in an overwhelming display, the opposition got huge support from the people-- all in the form of negative votes. And it happened in US presidential politics after Nixon's Watergate scandal. In the wake of that republican party blunder when the people were in a rage against Nixon's cronies, the democrats got so many negative votes. By that way they could win the next election, even with their dummy candidate. And this type of negative vote scenario has happened in so many elections across this globe. Where people knowingly or unknowingly give unbarred support to the opposing party just because they are totally fed up with the current rulers.

OPPOSING PARTY JUST GETTING NEGATIVE SUPPORT HOW THE EC PARTY TOOK BIRTH

Under such circumstances, it can look like the opposing party is really quite popular and well supported. But that is not at all the case. Rather the vote(s) they got are just an outcome of the people's fury with the other party. The people become totally against the current demonic leader and in that situation they think, 'Let anyone else come forward-- whether they are bad or good I don't care'. Such was the case when Mrs. Indira Gandhi was ushered out of power as well as when Nixon's Republican party got voted out of office. In both those circumstance totally incompetent oppositional leaders got big victories by collecting a bundle of negative votes-- i.e. votes against the ruling party. And today in our AM we are seeing this in the case of people's extreme dissatisfaction with Rudrananda's gang and the coming of the EC-- Effecting Change clique. Now margiis and field workers are totally suffocated by Rudrananda's nasty tactics; so in reaction they are willing to lend their support anywhere. Hence the birth of the EC (Effecting Change) group.

NO CONCERN ABOUT THE QUALITY

Altogether when such negative support happens, the voters do not at all concern themselves with the merits or demerits of the new party-- just they are fully focused on venting their fury against the old party. That is the way it works. Some intelligent supporters recognise what they are doing and rationalise that, 'Yes, I am giving a negative vote for the other party'. And some shudra type of people just blindly offer their support against the ruling party and they really believe that the new party will bring positive change. Now with the EC, they are getting negative support in both these ways.

ANTI-RUDRANANDA CLIMATE LED TO 'RISE' OF EC

As we all know, Rudrananda has created such chaos recently in our AM. He called the fake emergency; manipulates PP every day; threatens margiis who seek justice; executes punishment postings, and carries out so many other heinous activities. And actually, this Rudrananda was a trouble-maker all along. What better proof than this: Baba Himself refused to allow Rudrananda to attend reporting etc. Baba totally barred Rudrananda from all important meetings etc and kept him at arm's distance. So this is Baba's stand against such a conniving fellow. Anyway, after the demise of B group, Rudrananda gripped and clawed his way to the fore and now we have all seen and experienced first-hand what hell he is creating. And Sarvatmananda's poisonous faction is no option at all. So with choices few and far between, in their anti-Rudrananda statement various margiis and field workers have just lent their temporary support to EC. But again this is all just negative support-- nothing more.

EC TRYING TO CAPITALISE FURTHER EMPLOYMENT OF METAMORPHOSED SENTIMENTAL STRATEGY

The EC clique, led by Citkrsnananda & Co., is not unaware what is going on. They know that their only hope is to collect negative support in this anti-Rudrananda climate. So in their tricky manner they are just trying to exaggerate the situation by telling the people, 'We are with you; we are not in favour of Rudrananda'. That is their duplicitous plan. But Baba warns us to be alert about such type of cunning EC opportunists. Baba says, "A person discovers that the sentimental strategy which he previously used to misguide innumerable people, is about to be detected. ("The people are forming a bad opinion about my real nature.") So he decides to exploit another sentiment just to save his own prestige, and that too very quickly, because any more delay means further loss of prestige. This act of shifting to a new sentiment -- maybe from communalism to nationalism or from nationalism to communism -- this metamorphosis of sentiment is called "metamorphosed sentimental strategy." (NH-LOI) And this is exactly what Citkrsnananda is doing. There was a day when he and his EC opportunists were totally united with B group. Then when Sarvatmanandji's name became like mud then Citkrsnananda played his chime and joined the rally in support of Rudrananda. And under Rudrananda, Citkrsnananda had the big role of Central Finance Secretary and in general he was Rudrananda's right hand man. And now that Rudrananda's crooked dealings have become unearthed, the Citkrsnananda's EC bandits are eagerly waving their own flag and publicly denouncing Rudrananda. All in hopes of getting the top chair. Here againg Baba describes the ways of these duplicitous EC characters. Baba says, "These people are indeed expert at changing their sentimental strategies. Suppose a party (maybe social, political, economic, or whatever its complexion) is being divided into several factions, and each faction is utilizing a different sentiment from the other. Those who are clever enough will select the majority party and identify themselves with that group, for their political ambitions will be fulfilled thereby. What they usually do in these circumstances is to waste no time in issuing their statements -- in effusive language -- in favour of the majority group, denouncing the other factions." (NH-LOI)

BABA'S WARNING: DON'T GET DUPED BY SUCH HYPOCRITES

Some naive people-- a few margiis etc-- may be thinking that the EC leaders have really changed deep inside their heart. And that is why they have suddenly began opposing Rudrananda. But again and again Baba warns us that it is not like that. Such EC members are opportunists and they are only speaking out now since it suits their selfish agenda of getting more power. Baba says, "There may be some people who will consider this change of sentimental strategy to be a natural process of evolution, but in fact it is not evolution but a metamorphosis of strategy. Evolution does not take place so quickly nor so easily." (NH-LOI) Here again Baba warns us not to get befooled by the tricks of such EC leaders. Baba says, "By inculcating various sentiments, they misguide not only thousands, but millions, of people to the path of malevolence, just for some petty social status or other temptation. Common people never think deeply about this; they have not been taught how to think deeply about it; they do not ponder over it even now. Until today this aspect of knowledge has been generally unknown to the world. That is why common people, not fully understanding these cunning people, are inclined to give them undue importance." (NH-LOI) So these EC leaders are the lowest of the low-- cowardly and hypocritical types who try to mislead the general people. Their smell is as heinous as those crooked H and B group leaders.

BABA'S BLESSING

By Baba's grace true neo-humanists will emerge from our Marga and lead AM and the entire universe along the path of welfare. This is Baba's expressed guarantee. Since EC leaders are now externally opposing Rudrananda, it has become convenient for them to get some guidelines from B group now and again. This they do in the dark of the night when no one is watching. As all are aware the EC clique is led by Citkrsnananda, Tiirthananda, Paramatmananda, and they get the support of many ACB cronies from NY and Suva sectors like Vishvadeva (NY-ACB) and other self-serving opportunists.
