Baba

"Prabhu tumi eso ghare eso a'ma'r ghare..." (PS 632)

Purport:

Baba, please grace me by coming to my house - O' Supreme One, please come to my abode. Having lit the lamp of longing & yearning for You, I am anxiously awaiting. Baba, with deep longing in my heart, I am looking toward the path of Your arrival. O' my Dearmost, please come in my mind, in my heart. Baba, why are You remaining on the dark path in the deep night and keeping distant. I have lit the lamp for You. O' my Dearest, I am waiting for You. Please come in my mind, in my heart-- please come.

Baba, with a deep yearning & longing to get You, I am looking all around in search of You. I think about You while looking up toward the sky and I wonder where You are. O' my Dearmost, I hear Your tales from the songs of the stars in the sky. They chant about Your divine splendour and sing about Your glory. O' Baba, I am just a unit being and You are that Cosmic Entity. Even then my heart feels that I am Yours and You are mine. Baba, by Your grace I have realised that this is the quintessence. O' my Dearmost, You have made me realise that You are my everything - nothing else. All other things come and go in this transitory world; only You are my eternal Companion, my Bandhu. Baba, our relation is beyond everything - beyond this relative world.

Baba, with a strong desire to get You and have Your proximity, by Your grace I have prepared a seat for You in the corner of my mind. And I have
decorated that seat with dhu'p, diip, shubhrainjain [1] - the love of my heart. O' Baba, ensconced in Your shravan, manan, niddhidhyasana [2],
bhajan, and kiirtan, I am waiting for You. By Your grace, I have collected flowers for You from my mental garden. O' my Dearmost I have arranged them
just for You. With those flowers, I want to offer my mind, my heart, my everything at Your lotus feet. Baba, please come to me...

END NOTES FOR PRABHAT SAMGIITA #632:

[1] Dhu'p, Diip, Shubhrainjain: This is one way to decorate one's sadhana room with (a) dhu'p, which is one type of fragrant wood like sandalwood,
(b) diip, which refers to those little lamps used during Diipavali celebrations, and (c) shubhrainjain, which is a brilliant ointment or effulgent callarium. Of course, in the setting of Prabhat Samgiita, these three terms have an internal meaning as well. These words signify that the sadhaka has prepared his heart and mind in a nice way in order to receive Parama Purusa. One is calling out to Him with love and devotion by His grace.

[2] Shravan, Manan, Niddhidhyasana: Here below Baba explains the great import of these three devotional practices.

Baba says, "To attain Him human beings have to take recourse to shravana (constantly hearing His name), manana (constantly ideating on Him) and
nididya'sana (constantly meditating on Him). The Supreme Entity is Gurha, that is, He is lying hidden in the innermost recess of the human entity. To
attain Him one must penetrate deep within oneself, and for that the development of an introversial outlook is essential." (Tattva Kaomudi - 3)

== ONE SHOULD ASSESS ONESELF OF THE FOLLOWING ==

Namaskar,

Baba says, "When human beings feel that, 'Parama Purusa is my everything', then that is called as sharan (shelter). No being can come under the sharan (shelter) of two different Entities. So what is the meaning of Sharanagati (surrender)? When living beings give up their 'I-feeling' by withdrawing the mind from any other object and completely adopt the feeling that Parama Purusa alone is my everything."

"Up to the time when any person is thinking that they are working with their own strength, then we should understand that the feeling of sharanagati has not yet come in them. And when human beings think that, 'I am doing the work only with His strength', it means the feeling of sharanagati has come in their mind. So when living beings start thinking that, 'Whatever work I am doing, I am doing with His strength', then they have the feeling of sharanagati." (General Darshan, Patna DMC, 1970, [from audio tape])

namaskar,
Purusottoma
