Subject: Secrets behind Philosophy of Neo-Humanism
Baba
"Diva'-nishi mora a'nkhi jhare, shudhu toma'r tare, Prabhu toma'r tare..."
(913)
Purport:
Baba, day and night my eyes are pouring for You, only for You. I do
not love You even then You love me so much. Why like this? Why like this, my
Prabhu? My mind was in Cimmerian darkness but now the colour of that new
colourful dawn has filled my mind. In the summer's burning heat Your grace
is a soothing balm, like sandalwood paste. Baba, I am surviving only because
of You. That's why I look towards You again and again. When black clouds
are doing the dance of death, my heart begins beating and quivering. In
that fearful situation I listen to Your music which resonates deep inside
me and fills my heart with bliss. Baba, day and night my eyes are pouring
for You, only for You...
Namaskar,
I read Dada Bhaskaranandaji's recent Margii-Mail letter* where he is
offering to guide one and all about our AM philosophy. And while this may
sound like a noble endeavour, everyone should beware because in his own
book "Social Dynamics" Dada Bhaskaranandaji has written many things that
are grossly inconsistent with AM ideology. Means huge errors are there. Of
critical note is that Dada Bhaskarananda is telling that Baba's unique
philosophy of Neo-Humanism is nothing but Hinduism.
But we all know that Baba's divine teachings on Neo-Humanism are completely
revolutionary and will lead the society into the a new era of universalism,
thus crushing all dogmas. All margiis are aware of this divine truth. But
in his book Dada Bhaskaranandaji is making the opposite claim as he is
equating neo-humanism with the dogmas of Hinduism.
On page 100 of his book, 'Social Dynamics', Dadaji Bhaskarananda has written that: "Vivekananda unfortunately used the appelation 'Hindu' for all the
most amazing understandings of the past 15,000 years and for all the
findings of the sages of India ... Shrii P.R. Sarkar gave this universal
sentiment a beautiful new name - Neohumanism, or humanism newly interpreted."
So by Dada Bhaskaranandaji's above statement, it is clear that he thinks
that neo-humanism is just nothing but Hinduism.
Furthermore, Dada Bhaskarananda is equating Swami Vivekananda with our pure
neo-humanistic ideals. But most everybody knows that Swami Vivekananda ate
fish. And eating fish itself is non-neohumanistic behavior or conduct. What
to say about the fact that Vivekananda was a cigarette / cigar smoker also.
And on the top, Hinduism is dogma and full of misguided rituals and
sentiments including the caste system. And Vivekanada is coming from one
dogmatic Hindu sect. That is Advaete Vad, Monism. If anyone wants to know
more about Monoism better they should read Baba's philosophy in Namami
Krsna Sundaram. There Baba has clearly written that monism is just dogma.
So all these points are there where it is evident how Hinduism is grounded
in dogma. While we know Baba's teaching are completely new-- they have no
comparison with Hinduism.
But Dada Bhaskarananda claims that neo-humanism is merely the new name of
Hinduism. Why Dada Bhaskarananda is telling like this publicly in his
book-- why Dadaji would make this absurd claim? Really it anyone's best
guess. But by this ridiculous assertion it looks like Dada Bhaskaranandaji
wants to impose his own Hindu dogmatic beliefs onto our Marga Society.
Really, it seems that Dada Bhaskarananda himself is suffering from the
disease of Hinduism. Otherwise what can be the reason why he would put such
things in print.
Again I will say that it is obvious that Baba's teachings of Neo-humanism
are something completely new. From the very name itself-- 'neo'. This very
name demonstrates that this philosophy is an entirely new concept. Given by
Baba for the first time in human history; such a teaching was never given
before. And when Baba gave the discourse I was there when Baba Himself told
this Neo-Humanism is a new theory.
In the end we should all remember how neo-humanism is one golden tool for
the humanity.
Baba says, "Neo-Humanism will give new inspiration and provide a new
interpretation for the very concept of human existence...This Neo-Humanism
philosophy will liberate people from all inferiority feelings and defects
and make them aware of their own importance; it will inspire them to build
a new world." (NH-LOI)
Namaskar,
Karun
* In his letter to Margi-Mail on 25 Nov Dada Bhaskaranandaji was telling
how he will guide others on the "triple aspects of Ideology, Mission, and
Priorities". And many other things Dadaji was telling by which he was
placing himself on some high pedestal. But by reading Dadaji's book then
one can see that...
Note 1: Dada Bhaskarananda's research is putting forth the false notion
that neo-humanism did not come in 1982. Rather he is telling that
neo-humanism was already there in full form since Vivekananda's time. Only
one new name has been given. Just like Madras city was present before also
but recently it was changed to Chennai. Same way Hinduism was there and
then in 1982 only Baba gave a new name to that, and that is neo-humanism. So
Neo-Humanism is not new. Like that, this is how Dada Bhaskaranandaji's
false logic is going.
Note 2: So many gross errors are there in Dada Bhaskarananda's book. When I
have more time other points can be raised, or anyone else can also bring
forth the points. Because in so many places any good Margii will easily be
able to recognize how Dada Bhaskarananda's book strays far from that path
of AM.
Note 3: Ultimately Neo-Humanism leads humanity unto the stance of divinity.
BABA says, "According to Neohumanism, the final and supreme goal is to make
one's individual existential nucleus coincide with the Cosmic Existential
Nucleus. As a result, the unit being's entire existential order becomes one
with the Controlling Nucleus of the existential order of the Supreme Entity
of the Cosmological order, and that will be the highest expression of
Neohumanism. That Neohumanistic status will save not only the human world
but the plant and animal worlds also. In that supreme Neohumanistic status,
the universal humanity will attain the consummation of its existence. Then
nothing will be impossible for human beings; they will be able to do
anything and everything." (NH-LOI)
********************************************
We commonly see that people are talking about Indian culture, European
culture, Chinese culture, African culture. As if cultures are many. But
they are ignorant about reality. In Baba's words, reality is as follows.
Baba says,
"Culture is the collection of different expressions of human life. The
culture of the entire human race is one, but there are different local
expressions. This difference in local expressions does not mean that people
of different corners of the earth have different cultures -- culture is the
same, but the expressions vary. Education is a part of cultural life.
Education should be free, and education must be based on universalism."
(PNS-9, p.45)

ReplyDeleteDada Bhaskarananda's quotation was refering to a "universal
sentiment", and saying that "Shrii P.R. Sarkar gave [it] a beautiful new name - Neohumanism".
Well, is there not a remarkable difference between the sentiment and the philosophy of Neo-humanism?
Baba even tells us that a person may follow a spiritual capitalist approach - but that, just before attaining the supreme stance, that person will feel the sentiment of universal love.
So that the neo-humanist sentiment in inescapable when one is reaching moksa.
And have not some persons attained this supreme stance before ?
I mean: neo-humanist sentiment is not something new in human history. But this qualification, "neo-humanist", associated with the new philosophy that Baba gave, is.
So, it seems clear to me that Bhaskarananda´s quotation is not saying that the philosophy of NH already existed in history, and that Baba just gave it this name, "Neo-humanism". Dada is talking - at least in this part - about a sentiment, not about a philosophy.
So it seems to me that there is no error in this.
Namaskar !
