Here are but a few of the many incidents that have occurred around the
globe in the past week due to extreme tension in race relations:
* "Hundreds of Shiite Muslims opposed to the government rioted and
burned tires, blocking some major roads in the Lebanese capital and its
southern suburb...and seven people were killed...It was the Beirut
area's worst rioting since clashes between Sunnis and Shiites at a
university cafeteria in January 2007."
* "Hundreds of homes were burned in Nakuru [Kenya], regional capital of
the Rift Valley, which has seen some of the worst clashes between
members of President Mwai Kibaki's Kikuyu tribe and other groups."
* In the US, the South Carolina Democratic primary was voted almost
exclusively along racial lines. Thus in a country that already suffers
from gang wars on the basis of race, is now once again seeing racism
become a leading card in the realm of politics a well. The very same
politics that has been trying to make racism illegal for the past 40 years.
* And verily this disease of racism is creeping all around this globe--
world-wide. In nearly each and every country, province, region, state,
city, town, and village, this deadly plague of racism is present.
NOT JUST A PROBLEM WITHIN AM
Thus with our growing problems of racial divisions within our own Marga,
it is quite evident that our AMPS is not alone in this problem. Racism
is everywhere.
The same type of epidemics and tragedies that we have seen in our
Marga-- where our avadhutas have been attacked, beaten, and murdered in
cold blood by other avadhutas, and where politicking is split along
racial lines-- are breaking out all across the globe. And verily this
has been happening for centuries and centuries.
So those good people in the society who look to our direction for relief
from this nasty dilemma of racism will unfortunately not find any
respite under our roof-- not now anyway. Despite the fact that we preach
the gospel of neo-humanism, day in and day out our Marga is being
further divided and scarred along racial lines.
And that fire of racism is only being fueled more and more.
WHY IS RACISM SO RAMPANT
Before presenting Baba's perfect solution, we should take a moment to
examine why the racial card is such a popular one to play. Because
generally speaking, the common people want to feel affinity for one
another. Why then is the race card played by certain forces.
Far and away, the most clear-cut reason behind the strategy of racism is
that it is the easiest way for people to grab the power. Rallying people
around a higher ideal is not so easy, but to grab the trump card of
racism is an easy ticket to power. Hitler did it as have so many others.
Yet each and every time it has resulted in disaster; because using a
negative sentiment like racism to create a false sense of togetherness
only leads to more crimes and more bloodshed.
But again and again, power hungry leaders resort to such a strategy
because it is the easiest pathway to power. Indeed it works like magic.
That is why we are seeing the ticket of racism held in our current AMPS
crisis. If there is any doubt, just examine the names: B, H, NIA, EC
etc, and if one does grab a a different type of name to masquerade
themselves, then just examine the linguistic / racial background of
their self-proclaimed leaders, and it will become quite evident what is
going on.
Similarly the world over, from US elections to battles for strips of
land in the Middle East, the same crude game is underway-- in nearly
each and every country.
RECOGNISING RACIAL DIFFERENCES IS NOT THE ANSWER
And in the face of all the blatant racism and racial inequality,
innumerable agencies, leaders, and governments have adopted a faulty
solution.
Around the globe and in AM as well, people think the answer to racism is
to recognise distinctions amongst the various racial groupings, as if
that will bring equality in justice.
Now most of the leading groups in our Marga propose platforms of a mixed
leadership board, with a sprinkling of each of the racial sects
involved. Or they give lip service to such types of plans and programs.
That is the basic line behind each and every unity and peace meeting: To
recognise racial differences and give all a voice.
And verily this has been the pathway of the general public as well.
Gandhi created turned the untouchables of India into the 'Harijan' and
demanded that they get special favours and consideration, but that did
not solve a thing. Rather it led to more and more racial and caste
tension-- and with it more rioting and bloodshed.
Plus in the so-called advanced nations like the US, various quotas and
affirmative action plans have been delivered which serve to recognise
different races. By this way, spots were reserved for various ethnic
groupings in schools, office jobs, and governmental posts. But this has
only further incited rivalry and distrust amongst the various races.
And from France to Australia to Brazil to Hong Kong, various other acts
and polices have been put forth that give partiality to one or another
race, and the end result is always the same. More hatred, disgust, and
mistrust towards the various races.
So this idea of recognising racial differences does not work and it
should not be adopted in our Marga. Baba Himself is adamant about this.
Baba says, "We cannot build a strong society if we discriminate against
a section of humanity by drawing imaginary lines of distinction."

Baba says, "Clubs that are set up on linguistic consideration may not be
supported wholly on moral grounds." (HS-1, '87 Edn, p.39)
BABA'S REAL PROUTISTIC ANSWER
So then what is one to do?
Baba's perfect Proutistic solution is to drop the race card entirely and
simply view all as humans. And if in that grand human family there are
some needing help and support, then on the basis of financial need etc,
we are to give wide-spread support to those peoples, irregardless of
what race they may be.
In our practical AM philosophy, we must serve the downtrodden without
inciting racial differences and hatred. And the way to do this is to
ensure that the sick get medical treatment, the poor get financial
support, the uneducated get proper schooling etc etc. All these things
we have to do. But it must not be done along racial lines. That only
creates deep divisions because people readily pay heed to differences
based on external appearances etc.
But if our help is given based on need-- and not race-- then naturally
all will fall into the grand human family.
So rather than say, 'More education for blacks', or 'More jobs for
Hairjans', or 'More affordable housing for Hispanics, or 'Higher Pay for
Africans', or 'Greater rights for Shiites', or 'Grant Purodhaships to
NIA's', or whatever the cry may be.
Our approach is to launch an anti-exploitation movement demanding
justify for one and all. That is the only way to build a unified human
society. Short of this, we will just see more and more racial rifts
across the globe-- both inside and outside of AM.
So this very strategy or launching an anti-exploitation movement must be
adopted within AM and without, lest we see more and more bloodshed and
killing in the coming hours, days, months, years, & decades etc.
BABA'S BLESSING
The only way to fight injustice is to promote justice, and not further
divide society along racial lines.
By Baba's grace we will adopt His way and get success.
Baba says, 'Equal rights for all humanity! One nation for all people!
Tyranny will no longer be tolerated! No hypocrisy in the name of

Note 1: EXAMPLES OF RACISM IN OUR MARGA
In AM, since 1990, various meetings have been organised on a linguistic
basis where only those from a particular language background will talk.
Plus the group leaders will not go to any other group's programs. Also,
posts are given on the basis of one's racial affiliation etc.
So there are no shortage of such examples.
By this way, without the coming together of all, there is bound to be
separation and division. And all this flies in the face of neo-humanism.
Indeed what is the use of such a philosophy if we cannot represent it
ourselves.
Baba says, "Who are the people who propagate this distorted humanism?
Those who are motivated by pseudo-humanistic strategy utilize this
strategy for their own selfish and group interests, instead of allowing
humanity to move towards Neohumanism."
"Then how to rectify the situation created by these people? By taking
this distorted humanism towards Neohumanism, we may create a new panacea
for all psycho-spiritual ailments. But if instead of that we allow
humanity to move along the path of pseudo-humanism, humanity’s social,
economic, political, cultural and spiritual life will be full of
distortions and defects, which will pollute and degrade the human mind."

AM in Comparison to the West
Baba says, "A'nanda Ma'rga metaphysics is really unique and
revolutionary. Metaphysics as explained in the West is not supported by
modern physics. Modern science, while attempting to trace the prime
cause of creation, has been upgraded to idealism above materialism. But
facts of metaphysics as presented by modern philosophers are supported
by materialism or extreme idealism. Both views are equally one-sided and
